I'm running cargo services on NPT and TVL, And i have impression that loaded trains and empty trains act the same so no weight difference between full and empty wagons ? That is big wow for me.
I suggest then to change game title from TSW to TAW.

Which trains are you comparing? I have far less experience of TVL, and the relative flatness makes it harder to tell the difference; on level track a heavy train will eventually reach the same speed, or very nearly, but it is the acceleration that is different. However, on gradients it is very easy to tell the weight from the speed you can reach..

I have just run 6E85 10:40 Manchester to Leeds, which is the only loaded oil train out of Manchester Victoria apart from the double-headed one, and 7E60 11:59 Manchester to Huddersfield empty oil, both with a class 40. The loaded train has only 9 wagons, but the emply has 13.

Climbing the 1 in 47 Miles Platting bank at full power, the speed of the loaded train slowly fell 14-13-12-11 mph. With the longer train of empties I managed 26 mph.

Going up the bank to Standedge Tunnel, at full throttle continuously from the 15 mph at Stalybridge, I passed Diggle signalbox at 35 mph with the loaded train and 59 mph with the empties.
