    Dear Community,
i would like to propose the following Route as new DLC-content Route for TSW.
The whole route begins at Dresden Main Station and leads to Nuremberg Main Station
    [IMG]
Because of the total length of approx 300km I would like to propose the section between Zwickau Zentrum and Plauen (Vogtland) oberer Bahnhof, which has a length of about 45km / 27miles including 15 stops.
    Zwickau Zentrum: (Zwickau City Centre)
Zwickau City Centre is a combined tram-train-station near the town center. The regional train RB2 served by Vogtlandbahn GmbH, which is a private regional rail company, starts here its journey to the south.
On its way to Zwickau Main station the train goes along an innercity street and passes
    Zwickau Stadthalle
with its little Station. The Stadthalle is an Eventcenter located directly next to the station and is a real landmark.
    Zwickau Hauptbahnhof (Main Station)
Zwickau Main Station is the major transportation hub of the region. Here depart RB1 to Karlovy Vary (czech republic), RB2 to Plauen (Vogtland), S5 and S5X to Leipzig, RB95 to Johanngeorgenstadt, RB30 and RE3 to Dresden as well as RE3 to Hof. On our way to Plauen we can play services of RB2 to Plauen, S5 and S5x to Werdau and RE3 to Plauen. Furthermore Zwickau has a large freight yard.
    But let's move on.
    Lichtentanne
    Steinpleis
    Werdau:
Between Steinpleis and Werdau we can find the junction to Plauen.
It contains two beautiful brick bridges the Römertal viaduct and the Steinpleis viaduct: [IMG] [IMG]
In Werdau RB2 changes its direction and moves on to Plauen.
    We pass:
    The Vogtlandbahn Maintainance Workshop
    [IMG]
    Neumark
    [IMG]
and reach Reichenbach (Vogtland) oberer Bahnhof
    [IMG]
then we cross the largest brick bridge in the world the Göltzschtalbrücke
    [IMG]
    Netzschkau
    [IMG]
    Limbach
    Herlasgrün
    [IMG]
Herlasgrün is a very special station, which contains the junction to Auerbach. That means, the station has four platforms, two for the main route and two in the junction created as a triangle.
    Ruppertsgrün
    Jocketa
Another large brick bridge: the Elstertalbrücke
    [IMG]
    Jößnitz

And finally we reach Plauen (Vogtland) oberer Bahnhof
    [IMG]
Plauen is another transportation hub which contains RB2 to Zwickau and Cheb (CZ), RB5 to Karlovy Vary and Mehlteuer and RE3 to Hof and Dresden.

    The Route is fully electrified.
The following services should be included:
RB2 from Zwickau City Centre to Plauen (Vogtland) oberer Bahnhof and vice versa including all stops, changing direction at Werdau.
RE3 from Zwickau Main Station to Plauen (Vogtland) oberer Bahnhof and vice versa via Reichenbach (Vogtland) oberer Bahnhof.
RB5 from Plauen (Vogtland) oberer Bahnhof to Herlasgrün and vice versa including all stops.
S5X from Zwickau Main Station to Werdau and vice versa.
S5 from Zwickau Main Station to Werdau and vice versa including all stops.
Every service operates every hour in each direction.

    Rolling stock:
RB2 and RB5: Vogtlandbahn (private regional rail company) with Stadler RS1 BR 650
    RE3: Mitteldeutsche Regiobahn BR 440 / BR 1440
S5 and S5x: S-Bahn Mitteldeutschland Talent 2 BR 1442 (even in Rapid Transit DLC)

    Thank your for your feedback,

    Sincerely
    Franz

Part of the route (Dresden - Chemnitz or Dresden - Freiberg) was already discussed here:

    https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/east-german-nostalgia-dresden-chemnitz.19220/

It really is an very old, famous, important and extremely underrated route which was never really done for a sim (except the old PTP). It is very diverse, full of beautiful landscape and rich of history. So it’s quite hard to understand why it never was presented in a modern sim.

I agree to that. I really enjoyed PTP2, but because of the graphics and old-fashioned handling it isn't quite fun. :(
