Yes, leaking something just before the official announcement is a good sales technique. It gets people giddy with excitement but not so soon that the giddiness wears off before release. I’m wondering if this will be a substitution only DLC like the Baby Bullet, where there are essentially no new timetabled services, just a new train to drive on existing services and a handful of scenarios.
The reason that the Baby Bullet didn’t add any services, is because all the Caltrain services were already there.
M3 Locomotive awesome I’ll like having more traffic on the lirr will there be any new scenarios when the M3 Locomotive is available?
How do I understand the information on this page like with the history dlc depots and packages https://steamdb.info/app/530070/history/
The way I read it is that there are two more DLC's already allocated with possibly two more in development. One of them will be the M3 for LIRR, which I'm guessing will be DLC 26. https://steamdb.info/app/530070/dlc/
Wait I just realized something, I was reading the dlc list the wrong way! CSX HH doesn’t count as a dlc (from the list I read it from it doesn’t count as one), so starting from GWE, dlc 26 is the LIRR M3, so dlc 27...
Wha... this thread is still going? Wow! Cool to see a German diesel and the M3 at last, they were speculated for so long... ...anyways, I think I'm gonna disappear again, I don't actually really have anything to say tbh... bye
I honestly would love to see the DB BR 151 for the Ruhr region. After the excellent 155( after all the bugs got ironed out ), this one would be perfect. But UK content is really on the low side, so it will probably be something UK, loco or route. Cheers
A UK route, something that re-uses 377 plus an additional loco (similar to what done with HRR). To note, DLC 26 (the M3) and DLC 27 were added to steam at the same time.
What other routes use the 377? I know DTG like to reuse locos so it could be a possibility we’ll see another route using this loco.
Apparently just Southern and Southeastern, but on a few routes: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_Rail_Class_377#Current_operations
DB BR 151with some red regional carriages and the cabcar would be nice addon indeed, I don't know if these were used on RSN, MSB or RRO in reality?
DB BR 151 on MSB: . Can't get any better than this. Heavy coal trains on Ruhr Sieg with double 151 might top it sligthly :P. Cheers
I wouldn't be surprised to see the Electrostar Class 377 body shell re-used again for something else albeit with some alterations such as a pantograph added.. Be it for Thameslink/Great Northern/First Capital Connect or SouthEastern. My gut is going for the latter with use on SouthEastern on the third rail network although I really would like to see something British based which utilises AC electric.
If we're talking about Southeastern, the Class 465 and 466 networkers are worth mentioning aswell. Considering that they're the most numerous within Southeastern's fleet.
I hope TSW will offer freight and passenger action to the next route, so that we have the same variety like 6 of the last 7 routes had. And I am sure that we will see a new unit, even it is a DMU or EMU, because all routes added a new unit In TSW so far.
Since there's so many variations, there's a lot of possiblities. Obviously it could be another Southern route, but they could simply change the livery slightly to make either a First Capital Connect or Southeastern 377/5 (they're the same colour with different decals). SE's 377s are used only on Ashford-Victoria and Gillingham-Victoria routes. They could quite easily convert the 377/3 to a 375/8 or /9 (or any other if they change the headlights) to use on other SE routes. With minor model changes (and a complete redo of the interior) they could make the 377/6 or /7, 379 or 387. These are used on many routes, like the Gatwick Express, the GWML, the GEML and the ECML. They could also majorly edit the model to make Turbostar models, which are used nation-wide.
There are 3 routes in the South and 2 routes in the North. I'm hoping the next route will be something different and feature something in Scotland, Wales or maybe the Midlands. My personal choice would be the Highland Mainline.
