I am new to this but I have done a lot of route building years ago on Microsoft Train Sim. I have the Dem files for the area where I wish to build in Iowa, but I think I need to set the coordinates first. I guess what I really need to know is what are the first steps I need to take to download the Dems, google earth and establish a gps location for a start location. Is there anyone who can give me a simple step-by-step or suggest a video to get me going?
