Liverpool Street To Stansted Airport

We could have the airport services to Stansted Airport using the class 379 and the odd 317 and commuter services stopping at Bishop stortford using both class 317 and 379 and the Stratford shuttle to Stratford and with the freight service from Harlow aggregates to Stratford loop with also the meridian water service

 

The West Anglia Main Line is one of the two main lines from Liverpool Street, the other being the Great Eastern Main Line to Ipswich and Norwich. It runs generally north through Cheshunt, Broxbourne, Harlow, Bishop's Stortford and Audley End(near Saffron Walden) to Cambridge, with branches serving Stratford, Hertford and Stansted Airport. The line runs along the boundary between Hertfordshire and Essex for much of its length.

 

Nice I once did a thread about the stansted express I think we need this route and more modern British routes and trains

 

I think this route would be great to add considering what TSW2 already and could have soon. It's about 30 miles in total if including the line to Hertford East. In terms of passenger trains at the moment it is mostly Class 317 (although they're slowly being replaced by Class 379 (Stansted Express) with the 'FLIRT' (Class 745) being introduced as the Stansted Express services. The line is also quite frequent for freight services with Class 66 (Freightliner +GBRf being the most common) tending to pass through Stratford and usually end/starting at Harlow Mill, so perhaps these services can start/end at Stratford and Harlow Mill. Class 37 are sometimes seen along this time too, more so recently with taking 317 out of service and moving stock around.

I am biased with my opinion considering I live right next to this line, but considering what is in the game now I think it would be great to add this or perhaps even a longer route if that's possible (maybe including London Overground or extension to Cambridge). I can imagine a variety of unique passenger and freight scenarios that could be done and hope to see it down on the ridiculously long wishlist

 

Bumping this, hoping more members see and express interest.

 

Being very familiar with the WAML, it would HAVE to go to Cambridge and more importantly, Harlow......

Like the idea, ideally id like to to TPE and Northern Trains added before adding in the route, just my preference.

 

Amything on the GA network is something I approve of, personally I'd pick the GEML, with Felixstowe branch of course. But that's just my preference having grown up in Chelmsford

 

Tbh, I was born in Norfolk, more precisely Great Yarmouth, and have lived in Yarmouth all my life, About 90 percent of my family is from Harlow.

 

Another bump. As much as I'd like this route I do reckon GEML could come first but I hope I'm wrong

Bump. The new class 720s are now slowly taking over from the 317s and 379s services. All Stansted express trains are now 745s (when they're not faulty!).

 

There was no need
