I bought the southern west highland line which comes with a class 37 loco. I have sometimes that I cannot get it to move after I have stopped and I don't know why.

The reverser is set at forward, no brakes are applied and I hear the motor running faster when I apply throttle but I am not seeing the amperage gauge moving.

Usually I can fix this by turning off the motor (which does not seem to actually kill the motor? ), turn it on again and apply throttle again.

Can anybody explain to me why that is happening and what I am doing wrong?

    Kind regards,

    Bas

Have you stopped normally or has something made you stop?

I stopped normally. Can it be related to using maxium breaking force? If it is it isn't consistent

If you use the Full Braking force - 100% - you have gone in to Emergency
Have you checked the Direction Leaver - on some locos using 100% causes it to go in to Neutral
