Is There A Comprehensive Guide Available?

I have been playing Train Simulator off and on for a while, and I have accumulated many questions regarding the gameplay, etc. Is there some sort of comprehensive guide (manual) that explains the sim in detail? Or could someone point me to an online site that might offer this information. I have watched quite a few YouTube videos showing players "playing" a scenario, but none seem to explain what they are doing and why. Any help would be much appreciated.

Most DLCs will also come with their own manual that explains how different things in that DLC works such as Signals or specific controls. Most Locomotive DLCs will have a manual explaining their operations and functions.

These can be found in the game files themselves or downloaded as a PDF off of the DLCs steam page.
