Southern Route With The Class 171/4

The class 171 is one of my favourite trains and it would be nice to see a route with it in TSW
Route map: This fictional route would be a perfect route for TSW Gatwick airport - Portsmouth harbour & Southampton Central. This train would add to the one diesel multiple unit in GWE.

I find it hilarious that the OP suggested a Class 171/4 with Gatwick Airport (and weirdly not Brighton) to Portsmouth and Southampton, which is a route that Class 171s have never ran on!

 

Totally agree that it would be great to see the Class 171, but I think it would go better with maybe the line from Ashford Int'l to Hastings, a line the train actually runs on irl.

 

Eastbourne to Ashford would work better, especially as an extension to ECW.
