You can submit your screenshot to the thread, and every Friday we will choose which screenshots will go to the loading screens. Shortly after, we will open a new thread and announce the winners. Each week has its own theme which is voted for by the community. Competition Rules: Limit is 2 screenshots per person; 1 screenshot per post. Include in your post the route the screenshot was taken on as well as the name of the train (if applicable). Screenshots must be in a 16:9 resolution, at least 1920x1080 pixels. A pair of trains meet at Sullivan's Curve on Cajon pass sometime in the mid 70's, with a Southern Pacific Manifest train heading downgrade on the Palmdale Cutoff, while a Union Pacific TOFC train heads upgrade on the other track. A crisp, sunny winter's afternoon in Darlington, 1963, taken from the foobridge between the station and the town's east end. ex-NER Q6 no. 63354, in decrepit condition, waits for entry to a yard with a short train of loaded mineral wagons while shunting. A noticeably grubby ex-LNER Peppercorn A2, in this case no. 60526 Sugar Palm, heads north with a train of vans (far from its designed duties of top-link expresses) while new Class 20s nos. D8058 and D8040 snake a heavy steel train out of the yard to head south. Xerxes, have a look at the list of prohibited content in the Other Rules section at the start of this thread. Marias Pass is one of these because licensing restrictions on the loco branding means it's only available to US buyers, so DTG can't use it in a world-wide loading screen.
Possibly nit-picking a bit here, but this isn't a freight train - it's hauling passengers. Yes, I know the 7F is a freight locomotive, but I wondered if this is stretching the definition of "freight" a bit given that it isn't hauling freight..
A Class 66 passes through the north end of Stafford station on the WCML Trent Valley route. About 12 miles from where I live and very well modelled.
