    Hey guys,

so a few days ago I was about to play TS when the game showed up as needing to be installed even though it was already installed… I wasted about 6 hours reinstalling it again, I had no choice.

I then wanted to do some route editing in the scenario editor but everytime I tried opening a route, it crashed back to Windows. I proceeded to clear the cache thinking it would solve everything but the problem is still there.

I sent a message to DTG Customer support about needing to reinstall the game.

This is part of the error message which goes as followed:

Have you tried reducing your Game Settings - the higher you have them the more likely it will crash
    Settings 1 v68.jpg Settings 2 v68.jpg Settings 3 v68.jpg

Have you any Workshop Scenarios - these can cause the game to crash if they have not been configured correctly

    Hi Peter,

I have no Workshop scenarios at all, I do have quite a bit of third-party content but none of it seems to be the issue. I tried lowering my settings but what happens then is that some buildings disappear when driving as if they were missing which I find kinda lame. Right now I am verifying the integrity of the game files for a second time hoping this will solve it once and for all.

You might consider a complete clean installation of TS2020. Uninstall, remove all leftover folders and reinstall. A file verify may not repair a corrupt file. You may also consider an external SSD as a backup if this happens again you can run off the backup to test and swap files.

So you don't think it's a settings (scenery Density, depth of field etc.) problem? Thankfully I have all my game files on an external disk already.
