Here is my CSX buglist: TRACK - Switch indicators on the mainline wrong, red instead of green. - Tunnel lighting not existent - Shiny surface on rails are not visible in the Cumberland Yard with start at cumberland, coming from rockwood its there. - Coming from Hyndman 1 mile ahead of Ellerslie is a wrong 60mph speed restriction showing at the HUD (i think 35mph would be right?) - Service Q137 not playable in service mode, AI train from shaw mines goes over a red signal near the main line GAME - Button offset in fullscreen mode (menue and 2D-map) - FOV not adjustable - Snow melts around noon with the weather preset "winter clear", the snow is completly gone after 10 minutes . - Game freezes for serveral seconds at appearing of AI trains, especially with manifest trains. - Snow/rain on cab windows disappear randomly after switching views - Motion blur is on by default and state is not saved, you have turn it off after every restart. - Scenarios are listed double ACHIEVEMENTS - Achievement mission (im)possible bugged LOCOMOTIVES - GP-38: wrong winter texture on the fans - SD-40: no snow texture on the second step - GP-38/SD-40: train distance counter not working/clickable - GP-38/SD-40: throttle and dynamic brake lever missing gauge light, they are backlighted in real. - AC4400: brake pressure cant be changed in the IFD - AC4400 IFD buttons and radio has no night lighting - AC4400 crosswalk lights dont light up the crosswalks - ALL: smoke on locos disappears randomly - ALL: horn is should be louder - ALL: Dynamic Brake sounds missing - ALL: Sounds are messed up, no horn sound, outside/inside sound changing randomly
- Motion blur is on by default and state is not saved, you have turn it off after every restart. -Scenarios are listed double
Just tried this out today and had no problem completing. I've noticed that the tutorials and scenarios are double listed when I first start the game. Then after playing a service, and go back to the main menu, they are back to normal. Also, I would like to add: - Poster at north end of Sand Patch tunnel has an invisible wall around it, so you cannot add the collectable. - Turntable tutorial cannot be completed. When you move the locomotive onto the turntable, it will say the destination to stop is still 100's of yards away. You also cannot get up from the engineer's seat at this point. No way of completing.
I'd like to throw in a few here as well. Mostly stuff that has been around a loooooong time but could have been forgotten. Services often have headlights turned on for locomotives in the middle of a train. AC44 #327 should not have its headlights on, or the numberboards either. Numberboards are only on for the front side of the lead locomotive. The coal loader tends to turn off too late, leading it to dump coal on the ground. The coal loader turned off, but does not account for the fact that coal takes time to fall, which leads to some coal being dumped outside the car. All autoracks are empty (and for that matter, boxcars, and every single thing on a manifest). It does feel pretty worthless to haul a whole lot of nothing. (But in earlier versions there were cars in autoracks.) Compare this to a boxcar in TSW. That thing is chocked full! And TSW does not seem to believe boxcars need to transport anything. The rolling stock brake shoes do not animate accurately-the brake shoes should touch the wheels at minimal reduction (minimal reduction is the lowest application that provides enough pressure for the brakes to touch the wheels-any less, and you get no braking because the brake shoes can't make friction without touching anything.) According to the way the animation is set up now, trains should have no braking force until full service; the brake shoes don't animate to touch the wheels until full service. -Funny thing is, the locomotive brake equipment animations are correct! The math done on airbrakes seems to be super inaccurate. When they apply or release, the brake pipe twitches around like crazy, instead of smoothly increasing or decreasing. The thumbnails for the YN2 locomotives do not fit in at all with the YN3b thumbnails. They look gross in comparison, and the lack of consistency hurts that bit of OCD in all of us. And scenario thumbnails need some work too, none feature YN2 locomotives.
How can you tell the boxcars are empty? Aren't the doors closed? Also, in general, railways will be shipping empty cars about half the time, because they have to return to the company that will load it again. So not completely unrealistic.
As Piussi said, you can open the doors on boxcars. (You have to unlock the door first, not as simple as just clicking on the door.) Open every door and you'll find every single one empty. In fact, no loaded forms even exist in the files. [Plus, it sounds like the random consist generator doesn't quite know what to do with cargo just yet, but even if it did there is no cargo to put in the boxcars.] Q375, a very structured service, has all empty boxcars. Q353, which is random, also has empty boxcars all over.
Somehow the brightness is now going crazy in the CSX locos... here are some screenshots from the scenario "a helping hand" the cab changes all the time from normal to extreme bright. And i noticed the throttle has changed too, before the GWE release with notch 1 the loco did 10mph, now with notch 1 it drives 20mph. Normal brightness: After a few minutes it looks like this: Please fix this, it makes it unplayable!
Reproducible. You can make temporary changes to color in the NVIDIA control panel under adjust desktop color settings. Do not save the settings.Use restore defaults in the upper right corner to revert back.
I think there are multiple shaders depending on where you are in a route-the example I remember hearing is that Cumberland was set up to be warmer in color to bring out industry and such, while out in the wilderness it's cooler so the green of the trees stands out more. (You might say that's not realistic, but the difference is not supposed to be huge.) But oh my, Cumberland must be messed up. That is way too over-exposed by any standards, and the different shaders aren't supposed to make that significant of a difference. UPDATE: For the update Not much fixed in the update. Seems TSW is going to be making the same mistakes as TS, not updating any route if it's not the newest thing and isn't unplayable, throwing any route that's not brand new under the bus, or DLC train, rather. AC4400CW is still horribly broken, apparently not enough so to justify fixing. Probably because it can still move. And thats all that matters to a train sim right?...stuff moving. At least the locomotive icons were reworked.
-Climbing into a 50-foot Plate C Boxcar from the right launches you into the ceiling, which results in being stuck there
looks like nobody from DTG watches this forum anyway... no replies to the bugreports or any reaction.
Reproducible. Boxcar doors will open. Climbing a ladder will get you stuck on the ladder. No way down and no recticle with E to climb down.
Considering the known issues and bug reports section is the second most posted on section in the forum, I would say that is a pretty good tell that there's a lot of problems. That tunnel lighting has bugged me so much ..
Well DTG is going to be doing a bunch of the stations underground at Leipzig. If they don't use that as an excuse to do proper tunnel lighting there, they would be insane. But then there is also the question of if they will care enough about CSX to retroactively do it.
There is also a bug, on the GWE Class 166, where the train lighting inside the train would turn off, when i’m departing from a station, so I have to turn it on again and again.
Tunnel lighting has been an issue since inception. There was some verbiage to the effect that they did not know how to handle this. I agree this is a sore thumb.I would not like to see this go on for much more time.
DTG Please fix thes problems we are telling you about. There is no sense of having a BUG LIST if no one on the team cares to fix the problems. I tried playing this sim last night and it was not even worth playing to many bugs. Still to many problems.
If they fixed the bugs probably more people would buy Rapid Transit. I have discontinued purchasing ANY additional content since GWE.
In my version, you can't see what you're doing in the CSX bright future SD40-2 because of the fact that when you open up the engine room doors, a face gets stretched meaning that you can't see the prime / start switch in the long hood of the locomotive.
Fog is screwed up in general. There should be fog in tunnels, but it should be black-fog should be the same color as whatever light is around. TSW uses too much fog and makes fog white all the time, regardless of the colors of light hitting the fog.
The problem with the speed change in notch 1 is that it is actually a power change. So DTG made notch 1 faster, but because they didn’t fix their system where engine power is directly related to max speed, it means that the power generated in notch 1 was increased, and the speed increase was more a side effect than anything. Granted, a side effect that is desired, but for now, it is still only a workaround.
