52 posts and no mention of Digital Traction. How is that possible!

Are there any scenarios which don’t solely rely on AP enhancement / soundpacks?

It depends on what routes you are looking for
There are a lot of scenarios on UKTS - some of them require AP stock - https://www.uktrainsim.com/

https://www.dpsimulation.org.uk/ has different scenarios for a number of UK routes

https://lordbickerstaffscenarios.weebly.com/ has both Scenarios and Scenario packs

When I don't have the requirement for a Scenario because it uses AP Stuff I don't own I swap the trains for something I do own.

If you run European route there are a lot of scenarios on RailSim.de for Germany and Austria

Yes I do the same if I can access the route in RW Tools as it doesn't read AP packs, unless you extract them, unless i've missed an update to the program.

Lots of good stuff (freeware, UK-centric mostly, reskins, routes, scenarios) at https://backdatedtrainsim.weebly.com/ - including the most excellent freeware Virtual District Line for London Underground fans (relies on some 3rd party payware assets though).

Also don't forget Alan Thomson's website - loads of UK stuff on there, some payware, many freeware. Patches, reskins, routes, scenarios, all sorts. https://alanthomsonsim.com/

The ATS site is great just at the moment 29.99 is on the cards, just for the East Coast Mainline Merge alone.

https://shop.join-together.de/ => some german route, trains and szeanrio packs. Some of the routes you can get on other pages too (or on steam).
The route extension Hausach - Konstanz is for fans of german routes a must have. Really nice quality

https://www.rivet-games.com/de/ => switzerland routes and train packs (also available on steam), in past they made pre-order discounts.

and I forgot: here a map I made for a overview of most of available payware routes and some nice freeware: u.osmfr.org/m/252726/

That is a very good map of the European routes we have in the game :)
The line from Torino to Modane has been extended and now also runs to Asti, Alba, Ceres, Fossano & Torre Pellice

I've been looking for this link for a couple of days, I mistakenly thought Peter (749006) posted it seems I'd inadvertently remembered him quoting you.

    Thank you for making this.

Hi, A bit off topic.. I wonder if you can help as I’ve hit a brick wall with a steam sounds supreme black 5 pack that I’ve downloaded. I opened the file and clicked on setup.exe and the files installed into ts2020 program but I can’t find the locos within the game. I’ve contacted sss but had no response.. thanks

    Yeah thanks Peter.
I have been trying to contact SLY401 (Paul) from IHH but due to bad blood within the community (?) I think he has dropped all his contact portals.
What I can gather is that apparently Paul sold all his railworks stuff to DTG or their predecessor.
Interesting though is his continued work using the Unreal 4 engine...

    Having said all that..
"DTG purchased the rights to Iron Horse House's catalogue upon the company ceasing business late 2013 and have since released some of IHH's products on Steam; often with minor enhancements."

So, c'mon DTG. Lets have some of that rare content then fellas?

Ooooooh...a Class 82 would be most welcome.... in super electric bright blue.... and BR Blue... with headcode box intact.... With a super-whining blackboard screeching traction motor sound (.... none of this silent Class 89 guff.......) - it has to sound like it's struggling to do the last shopping trip before lock-down....

Some of the locos from IHH, IMHO, are not up to current standards.
The JT 20 is better then the IHH/DTG version
The Class 33 from RSC is also better.

The 45, 56 & 73 got makeovers but the IHH Peak is a better model
    Screenshot_Riviera Line in the Fifties_50.54843--3.49336_07-35-06.jpg
The Class 82 just reused the sounds from the RSC Class 86
And the Class 76 & 77 were not a match to the RSC version.

There is also a bunch of freeware for New Zealand on tsnz.co.nz

The first payware route is coming to TS2021 through steam sometime in January last I heard. It will be be followed by some loco and rolling stock packs.
The base route has been with DTG's testing team since August so it hopefully won't be too far away.

I find tsnz.co.nz a difficult site to use
You have to know the name of the item you are searching for - you can not just browse for anything
Searching for Diesel + Train Simulator 20xx finds no results

Digital Railroading (Freeware; Vintage US, including a fine-looking NYC J3a 4-6-4 Hudson) Digital Railroading – Design and Assets. (powweb.com) I have not tried out any of their stock yet, but I hope to soon.

Travel by Train (Part of DTG's partner program; Offers mostly second generation US diesels) NOW OPEN! (ecwid.com)
I have purchased several items from Travel by Train, and I have to say, they are one of the best third-party developers in the business. Great customer service, lots of updates, and detailed models.

God bless, and thanks for making this thread available DTG!

Not seen this mentioned so apologies if it is a repeat:

    http://www.dickyjim.com/index.html

I stumbled across it, I am interested in the Leominster to Kington railway projects but he seems to have some American content too.

I came across his site before, I was mildly interested in the steel rolling stock he did so I could create shunting moves at the TATA steel site on the SWC (never bothered in the end though).
It has got to be by far the worst website I've ever tried to navigate, horrid horrid layout, even his purchasing system is a bit off whack.

Yes it is a bit odd to navigate. I have only downloaded the route so haven't really negotiated the rest of the site. It seems a strange combination with the USA stock combined with a long lost Welsh Borders branchline!

The route looks really nice though and I look forward to the finished article.

I hope this is clumsy wording and that the Prof is not actually doing what he seems to accidently imply he is doing. If so then I would take that very amiss as devs work hard to make assets - even those of us that are doing freeware - and passing these off as one's own would be a bit off.

FB_IMG_1611928141783.jpg I have already added it, but the site for New Zealand content, (http://tsnz.co.nz/) has just been updated.
There you will find a growing selection of various bits and pieces that are all freeware, including a recently released wee tank engine.
Over the next month or two the dev's are going to upload all of the logo's and other bits and pieces that had to be left out of route package there, so keep an eye out.

There are links to the group's facebook page and discord group too. Where all of the info you could ever need about the new route, the rolling stock, and future rolling stock is there. If you want to know anything else feel free to ask.

BNSF cars are there. Excellent. That will decorate routes like the Montana Hi-Line quite nicely.

There are several links that are dead now, still a good place to come though, but shouldn't UKTS be removed for british content as they don't accept new members any way, and downloads require registration ?
