I think that DTG could do with adding to TSW is a train consist window. This tells you the loco number, all wagon numbers, quantity of wagons etc, but more importantly it tells you the train's overall weight, brake force etc so you know how to drive the train. In its simplest form, if you know from your trainlist document that you have 2000t on the drawbar, a max speed of 60 mph and 950 tons brake force then you know how it should handle. It would be a really useful thing to add in my opinion. For example something as simple as 66001 126t 70t Brake Force 123456 BAA 102t 43t Brake Force 923457 BZA 102t 47t Brake Force 123458 BAA 102t 43t Brake Force 123459 BAA 35t 21t Brake Force 467t 224t Brake Force Max Speed 60 mph. Hopefully that explains it, and having that as a side bar would make a useful addition to knowing how to drive your train. Jo
I would also like to have detailed information about the whole consist. Especially the speed and than length, weight, brake force, etc. The more the better.
Here is a UK train document. There is a schedule above all this, but I've focused on this detail for clarity. A simplified version of this in game would be excellent, and would help scenarios of "split the train behind 12345" etc, as well as the aforementioned benefits and increased realism. If anyone at DTG TrainSim-Matt TrainSim-Steve (not sure who else is current) thinks this would be a worthwhile addition and has any questions then please send me a message.
This is great. Train sim world deserves to have the info on services and consists. Really essential info for any train driver.
