It could be nice to know these parameters for better realism. Also for better adaptation of driving style for specific service. Every real-driver knows these informations. So please add them to service description at least. Or better will be when we would view some "driving order paper" during ride like in reality. Currently there is only one short sentence like - go from A to B with train C. This is not enough.
I would also like to have that kind of information accesible within the simulator. It would surrely add to the realism and immersion.
I don't think so. I heard something about selectable number of wagons there on LIRR. But I really miss informations about train length and weight. Real train driver does know these informations always. Pre-ride description is really poor. "Go with this from to". That's all now. And yes! These informations could be generated automatically.
