The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority Lowell Line runs from Boston Massachusetts USA to Lowell Massachusetts USA. It makes stops outbound from North Station at North Medford, Wedgemere, Winchester Center, Mishawum, Anderson/Woburn Regional Transportation Center, Wilmington, North Billerica, and Lowell Massachusetts. It makes inbound stops from Lowell station in reverse order. Same stops just backwards order. They use single level control trailer coach 3 Cab cars or ctc3 which have mechanical bells. Plus the blind trailer coach 3 or btc3 regular passenger coaches. They also use blind trailer coach 4 or btc4/btc5 or blind trailer coach 5. For cab cars or this type it’s ctc4 and ctc5 which the cab cars have electriconic bells on them. For locomotives they use MPI HSP46 locomotives numbered 2000–2039, MPI F40PH-3C Locomotives numbered 1025–1026, 1028, 1031–1032, 1035, 1050–1051, 1054, 1057, 1060–1061, 1063–1066, 1068-1069, 1074, 1075, EMD F40PH-2C numbered 1052–1053, 1055–1056, 1058-1059, 1062, 1067, 1070–1072, M-K F40PHM-2C Locomotives Numbered 1027, 1029–1030, 1033–1034, 1036, GMD GP40MC locomotives numbered 1115–1139, and MPI MP36PH-3C Locomotives numbered 010 to 011.
hopefully this commuter rail line will be available sometime soon on TSW 2020 or 2021 and I would definitely by it when it’s available.
I heard that the MBta commuter rail is willing to collaborate with Dovetail so that means we could see a MBta commuter rail line sometime in the future I wouldn’t mind the Lowell line or Haverhill line because sometime the Haverhill line transfers onto the Lowell line sometime.
Amtrak Downeastern travels on this line for some part of the journey hopefully it’ll will be released on TSW 2.
They’re planning on extending the Lowell line up to Nashua and Manchester New Hampshire for commuter rail service in New Hampshire I heard that a few years ago.
