On the PS4 I was having lots of fun with the mastery. Then after the recent update I can not get it to work. I signed out and then back again. I renewed licences. Also the game got real twitchy.
Mastery works fine for me but as you said, the game isn't really fluid right now. It wasn't before the update but it is definitely worse after it. Especially when changing equipment.
