Today I'm going to list a few routes for TSW2. I dont expect all or even any of these to be made its purely my suggestions. The route from London Liverpool Street to Stansted Airport including the branch to Hertford East, this route would be perfect for TSW2 as it features diverse stopping patterns and scenery. The total length of the route would be 40 miles and would feature the new Bombardier Flurt trains. The stations along the route are Hackney Downs, Tottenham Hale, Northumberland Park, Angel Road (the least used station in London), Ponders End, Brimsdon, Enfield Lock, Waltham Cross, Chestnut, Broxbourne (where the line splits), Rye House, St Margaret's, Ware, Hertford East, Roydon, Harlow Town, Harlow Mill, Bishops Stortford, Stansted Mountfitchet, Stansted Airport. The C2C network from London Fenchurch Street to Shoeburyness. The stops along the way are Barking, Rainham, Grays, Tilbury Town, East Tilbury, Stamford, Pitsea, Benfleet, Chalkwell, Westcliff, Southend Central, Southend East, Thorpe Bay.
Will probably be better to use the Bombardier Aventra as those will be working most services, the Stadler FLIRT units will only be on Stansteds. Also Angel Road closed last year, replaced by Meridian Water which is better located for the redevelopment of the area (and is picking up traffic nicely)
Thank you for the feedback. Wasnt sure about Angel Toad as I hadn't been on the line for a few years. Much appreciated.
I'd love to see the London Waterloo to Portsmouth Harbour line with the class 444 and the class 442 added. It would be good as well to see the East Coastway route extended to Hastings. I hope there's going to be more British routes added in the future as this would be brilliant. I would like some more routes instead of more locos
Sherman Hill. And with the longer trains in TSW 2 it will look more realistic with the UP trains. Building America!
LIRR's Babylon & Long Beach, Ronkonkoma or Port Washington branch; NYC Subway's Pelham, Cararsie, Flushing or Jamaica line; and Metro-North (east side of the Hudson River).
Maybe Edit the title to make it clear that it's your suggestions "West Anglia or C2C" - as it is the title looks like a call for suggestions
Sherman Hill is needed in TSW2. I think we need it in the 1950s or 60s. A 1970s-90s version could be good, too. If we get steam locos later in the game, we need UP Big Boys, Challengers, FEFs, and 4-12-2s.
I like the idea of the Liverpool Street to Stansted route. It might also be able to feature some Overground services in the area, from Liverpool Street to Enfield Town, Cheshunt and Chingford.
I would like to see this line being added into TSW 2 as the first japanese Train DLC https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yamanote_Line
I'm not sure the Yamanote would work as an initial Tokyo route, while it's single stock (assuming it's set from 2020 onwards) it's going to feel very empty without all the outer suburban stuff, Keihin-Tohoku, Saikyo etc running alongside. Also a line that carries more people per day then the London Underground* would need more people on the platforms and trains. *The entire London Underground combined
Given that this thread opened as a long list of route suggestions it's acted as a long list of route suggestions. If you want conversation focused on only the route or routes you are personally suggesting, please title your topic accordingly.
The Cross City Line Lichfield Trent Valley- Bromsgrove With Line To Redditch Class 323 in West Midlands Railway Thanks
Bit of an arrogant comment. I thought the thread said TSW2 route suggestions. Bit of a rude comment and you need to learn some manners
It would be good to have some routes over Scotland and some down in Cornwall. I would like to see a London Victoria to Brighton route or a Brighton to Bedford route in the future. I hope they add some more London Underground lines as well
I don't have route suggestions but i have suggestions for the routes Being Able to play multiplayer with socializing features will be awesome. People like to socialize.
Manchester - Sheffield-Wath... the "Woodhead" line. Yes, I know it' sin Train Sim... but it would look glorious in TSW or TSW2. Either 50s/60s heyday... or 70s run down freight and Hadfield units only. Come on.... you know it makes sense!
Also, Fylde coast - Preston, Blackpool North and South.... possibly even the old Poulton to Fleetwood line.
DTG will never add that as Euston to Glasgow is weigh too long for a route. I think that a more sensible suggestion would be London Euston to Milton Keynes, as that will tie in nicely with the Bakerloo Line.
I think that might have been planned as in a DTG dev blog thing a while back someone had mentioned that they'd been laying track between Euston and Milton Keynes. Of course that was before the Virgin licencing kablooie so I'm wondering if a WCML route had been in build and had to be abandoned because of licencing. As the Bakerloo runs alongside the southern WCML I wonder if that was chosen because it could use assets from that project?
They could do it without Virgin as Avanti West Coast has replaced them now. If you want to see more on this suggestion, I have created a thread here: https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/west-coast-main-line.23650/
I would like to see only new routes for TSW2 and not remakes of TS2020 routes. Some of my suggestions. UK London Piccadilly to Uxbridge and Heathrow. UK Reading to Gatwick and Brighton. UK Brighton West Coast route. UK K&ESR. Heritage Line Aus Hornsby to Katoomba via Sydney. USA around Chicago and New Orleans. Can Canadian Rockies Vancouver to Banff. Eur Glacier Express Zermatt to Chur. These are only suggestions for the team, I have no inside knowledge but only asked to post suggestions on the forum.
I'd like a British main line that hasn't been done before; - Highland Mainline - Hope Valley Line (Sheffield-Manchester). Both offer stunning scenery and a variety of classic traction depending on the period used. Neither has been done before either to my knowledge. Now would be a good time to do the Highland Mainline now that having AI traffic on lines with stretches of single track has been mastered.
Hmmm... Keystone Corridor, Empire Corridor with Amtrak stock? A French route would be nice and an Asian route would be nice for a change.
Victoria, Metropolitan, Central, Northern, District or Hammersmith & City underground lines in London.
I understand it's quite a nice route passed oxonholme being on the service my self quite often would be nice from preston to Edinburgh though I dont know what do you think
I agree the routes is lovely (I've rode the route a few times). Is there a section of the route ( around 100 miles) that stands out to you???
Hi Sam, could you please add the Merseyrail Wirral lines, West Kirby, New Brighton and Chester through the Liverpool underground loop, a nice Class 503 & 502 vintage emu, and a class 507- 508 emu to the suggestions lists for TSW2 or TS2020 please, kind regards Ron.
Hello everyone, I would like to suggest a route. Douro Line It is a tourist and comercial line in northern Portugal. The construction started in 29 July 1875 and the line was concluded in 9 December 1887. This line conects the second biggest portuguese city (Porto) to some locations in the countryside of Portugal, originaly this line ended in Spain but today ends 28km away, in Pocinho. For much of its route the line runs close to the Douro River, offering very scenic views of the river, valley and vineyards, witch are classified as World Heritage and it is the biggest line along a river in Portugal. Along the line there are 22 tunnels and 35 bridges and the the most beautiful stations.
