Just thought I’d post a thread on here about when we might get a trailer for TSW2. DTG Protagonist, would you know of a date or if not perhaps you could add this question to the list of questions for the next Q&A? The trailer is a big part of the anticipation of any release for me and when TSW1 was released we got a trailer at around the 8 week mark. We are almost 6 weeks from launch now. What’s everyone’s favourite trailer so far for TSW? Mine has to be the one for WSR closely followed by the TSW ‘gameplay’ trailer. The epic music and cinematography in both were spine-chillingly good.
Yes, the trailer is very good for WSR... as to my spine being chilled? not enough blood and snot. If it was full of Vikings raping and pillaging along the carriages, probably...
So, trailers for most DTG releases come out a few weeks prior. I would say I trailer around the 10th of July. XD
No trailer for you yet, although we may have some new video for you this week - I believe it's being finalised at present.
DTG Protagonist do you know when the next Q&A stream will be??? I know that a lot people in the community have questions burning at the back of their brain. Much appreciated.
We'll announce it once the date is locked. As the Q&A is covering the first route feature, we want to make sure you've seen it before we talk about it.

You are right, 'that' was a trailer, and a good one... it certainly hooked me! I wonder what TSW2 will put forward for their new game.

Thats what I thought but then saw that the Sam said it was being finalized and we should see it this week.
This is about as definite as you are going to get... still got tomorrow to go so we might just catch the trailer!
I must say I'm not too impressed with their communication on this. First they said the next stream would be this week or next week, now its 'in the next few weeks'. And then DTG Protagonist said in this very thread that the next thing we would see on TSW2 is video and now all we've got is six screenshots. So much for their new approach of being honest and transparent.
So...........for that to be the best information you have, would mean that someone is feeding the information to you, unfortunately this info seems to change sporadically without warning. Although it's clearly not your fault, it genuinely wouldnt surprise if were being told something different tomorrow. In the few months I've worked for SE, no apparent changes have occurred, so it begs the question of how many changes of plan a company can have in the span of a mere few weeks. A suggestion for everyone on the forums is to expect everything were told is wrong, and you wont be disappointed.
Work in game development for any length of time and you'll get a feel for a new definition of moving goalpost. The fault is mine, I should have just said "no date".
I wouldn't say you were at fault mate, it's just train sim fans doing what train sim fans do, you know... wild speculation at the merest snippit of information!
Guys he always said maybe and never a definitive answer. About the livestream they said it may be coming this week, but they will tell us when they know for sure. They didn't tell us, so I suppose it's not coming. I don't know why complain about this, they didn't promise the video or a stream is coming this week for sure. They just said maybe.
Sure, TSW 2 will let u kill wolves and chop trees to clear the path! Not to mention virtually drink beer and then start seeing too many animals in ur way! Lol! DTG would never do that, in order to keep the rating E (in the US only, UK idk what’s it like, I think it’s PEGI?) for everyone and not have fines for drug references and animal abuse! Not to mention DTG‘s current state of “don’t-listen-to-forum-members’-plea-for-new-features-in-TSW” dev strategies!
