Hi, all today I'm going to suggest a route for TSW2. I propose the route from London St Pancras International to Ashford International, the stations on the route are Stratford International, Ebsfleet International and Ashford International. The total distance of the route is 59 miles (making it the longest route in TSW). The route has the class 395 (Javlin) operating Semi-Fast services calling at all stations, and the class E320 operating fast services calling at Ebsfleet International and Ashford International. Depending on how DTG would make the route, class 375 AI could be included from Maidstone West to Ashford International, with stops at Bearsted, Hollingbourne, Harriestham, Lenham, Charing and Ashford International. What makes this route interesting? Well the route features a variety of scenery from the longest tunnels in the UK to continuous Swamp/marsh land. Operating the 2 fastest trains in the UK (the 395 and E320). Now, that in TSW2 faster and longer routes are possible I think the route would suit the game. Thanks for reading the suggestion, please let me know your thought below.

Ashford could have Class 377 AI at platform where Southern services go from towards Hastings and Eastbourne

That would be lovely, but it's a bit of push for length.

I think this is a great idea and you might be in luck since DTG said they are focusing on high speed this year with TSW2 and this is one of the few high speed lines in the UK.

Nice thinking. A bit more pictures would be nice though. And one question, the theme of this year is going high speed when are we talking about that, over 120, 130, 140 mph?

So I'm going to respond to what everyone has said in a minute, but first I'd like to say thanks for the feedback on this suggestion.
    • cosmoreedoconnor, indeed 377 AI could be included but you cant see the platforms Southern use from the HS platforms.
    • David Harrison, thanks you very much.
    • matajamca, who wouldn't??
    • bart2day, this is the only high speed line in the UK. The speeds needed for a HS line is 140mph (for a reserved line) or 160mph (for newly built lines).
    • Railway12, I've got not the slightest idea how to attach pictures. :-(

I've been through Ashford a few times, if your coming in from St Pancras there not visible. If your coming in from Folkestone then you can see them no problem.

It would be a class 171 at Ashford as the line to Hastings is not electrified.

If you want to attach pictures, find an image, click on it, do ctrl/cmd + C, go to the thread and do ctrl/cmd + V.

I'd prefer it went via Canterbury to be honest.

Yeah, we know you do, but let's not go round putting it on multiple threads, if you want that route create your own suggestion, it's not difficult. If you want I can create the suggestion for you, but dont feed off of suggestions made by other people and try to change them to something you like. Ok??? BTW I agree via Dover is 100,000,000,000× better.

Brilliant idea, as the tunnels have almost no scenery around it so would be easy to develop, and they could even include a section of track from Ashford to Ore, Hastings or even Eastbourne to connect with the ECW

Your not wrong (it would be a big stretch on length) but I'd love to see that section of line aswell.

Especially with the E300 (373) and E320 Eurostar. So, we can drive the Eurostar as far as Ashford International.

Don’t forget about the E300 (373) Eurostar too. It goes from London, via Ebbsfleet, via Ashford too. It is part of High Speed 1 too

Sadly Eurostar won’t happen as DTG don’t hold licences for it

Then why the E320, as it is a Eurostar too. Still I understand the problem ok

Why the E320 and not the E300. They are both Eurostar’s you know. Still, I would prefer it with the E300. I don’t mind both Eurostar’s though
