Binyamina-Ashkelon Railway Thinking about something different, something unique yey somehow pretty familiar? Think no further! This route would be a perfect future DLC candidate for Train Sim World 2020, it has everything one would expect from a decent passenger route. in the later 1990s the line became the suburban line in Israel with the cancellation of stopping all the trains of the Haifa-Tel Aviv line at the railway stations in Caesarea, Hadera, Netanya, Beit Yehoshua and Herzliya. a representation of the line in Train Simulator would be complete with and without the future plans for the line. End to end journey time is about 1 hour and 28 minutes on the part-time operating section from Binyamina to Rehovot. trains are running at speeds of 87 mph & 140 km/h and of 100 mph & 160 km/h. the wonderful Mediterranean scenery makes for a very spectacular journey. The double-decker coaches are very familiar to those interested i n German railways and the various Diesel-electric locomotives are no stranger either. The whole railroad has a very European feel, and it would make for a very nice addon, one that can be easily developed, perfectly fitting into Dovetail's ever-shrinking route length envelope. Thinking of development, there is also needless to separately create snowy winter assets as it is not too common in Israel. Therefore, a significant amount of time and effort could be spent elsewhere, making it a cost-efficient route to develop. Trains, shortly after departing southbound for Tel Aviv and the other southern stations and northbound for Binyamina. The modelled route in Train Simulator could also include the eastern railway which includes the now closed and future reopening Hadera East railway station. Overall, this would be a truly incredible addon product, something never seen before in Train Sim World, bringing us a very young railroad in a very young country, one with a nice European touch due to its rolling stock and train protection system and overall feel to it. It is certainly a standard gauge line (1435 mm) and is protected by the familiar SIFA system (to be replaced by ERTMS GSM-R/ETCS L2). The line will and won't be electrified by single-phase 25 kV 50 Hz AC OCS. Please review this as a possible future DLC and consider bringing the Holy Land with its awesome railroad to Train Sim World 2020 so that we can experience what it takes to shuttle our Alstom JT42BW and Vossloh Euro locomotives hauled (or pushed!) double-decker consist between Binyamina and Ashkelon.
They've changed their cycle for both TSXX and TSW so I don't think it's necessary to be so dismissive on every thread featuring a route outside of DE, US, and UK. Sure they can only handle so much but if/when they get the opportunity to pick somewhere else they definitely won't ignore the discussions here. No need to smother them. Considering the train pictured is hauling the DTG favourite Doppelstockwagens this might just pique their curiosity as a more accessible option. No-one but them is to say.
