No, throughout Germany DB has all variants from 2-coach to 5-coach sets. 4-coach sets are the most common, seen throughout the country, but for example, between Dresden and Leipzig they're running 5-coach RE trains with 3-coach used to increase capacity during rush hours (these have gotten additional white VVO stripes going from the front door to the cab couple years ago). 2-coach sets can be seen for example in Cottbus on local trains to Falkenberg. Now, these are just the examples I am aware of, they're probably running on different lines too. (quick search mentions, for example, the 2-coach also running from Koblenz to Trier)
If you mean TSW (not TSW2) there will be no changes to current content. BR442 Double formations are already available in rapid transit: You can search for them here: https://smtimetables.herokuapp.com/search/ About TSW2: we have not a clue at the moment.
