It really is time to show a vid/trailer of the Bakerloo line and Ice, with just over three weeks until launch why the secrecy?

I wouldn’t call it secrecy, it’s more just planned marketing that can be found in any company. We will be getting a trailer from those routes soon I’m assuming.

The Bakerloo line trailer will come when it comes, as said in bold clear detail by Sam. There is no secrecy as Sam has also said the only reason there is Q&A is to avoid secrecy. What was said by Matthew is correct.

Don't masquerade your excitement or anxiety as DTG being malicious and trying to pull a fast one.

So, why the drip feed? It's one part waiting until we can bundle several topics for discussion together with a high level of accuracy, one part waiting to deliver a new look at the game in the best possible way (hello there, dark arts of marketing) and partly because we want to have something fresh to talk about at regular intervals as we run up to release.

If we gave you absolutely everything from the get-go and then went radio silent until launch day it wouldn't maintain your interest.

I like that tease the ~two dozed hard core peeps on here for a month, whetting their appetite for a game that they will buy straight away and then 50 percent of will moan endlessly within an hour of driving it that their pet hates of x, y, and z are still in the game and the pet desires are not-to then spend the next 12 months on here hoping that the next instalment has it...

p.s yes I am part of the crowd that will buy it anyway.

p.p.s Just out of interest does anyone have a transcript of the discussions with Sam et al, that we could read rather having to watch something?

Buy my count you have 3 weeks and 4 days to release of TSW2, there must be at least 3 more Q&A streams to do and game play from the 3 routes. The way I see it there isn't enough time left to do all of this.

I’ve just seen the next drip on social media and it made me laugh out loud. I do wonder about the accuracy of the marketing and this is a step in the wrong direction. If you haven’t seen it yet, brace yourself, it’s a corker.

Why would prospective customers want to see artist's impressions of their products rather than the genuine screenshots?

It's an odd choice, a very odd choice, however, at least they are not being deceitful.

I suspect the logic is "real railway companies sometimes use this kind of image in their marketing so let's create some too, as an interesting diversion". Which is fair enough, but the intent could have been a bit clearer, and I'm not quite sure where real companies do use this sort of image - in my mind it's usually a bit more stylized.

    Anyone else notice this
Anyone else notice this at the bottom of the page?

Images displayed in this article may depict content that is still in development. The licensed brands may not have been approved by their respective owner and some artwork may still be pending approval.

Standard disclaimer or still pending approval for licensing?

If it's the latter, you would have liked to think all that sort of thing was sorted before announcing it.

They’ve put that disclaimer on each thing they’ve posted about TSW 2. It’s likely just a standard disclaimer as they’ve clearly got permission to use the branding.
