Since the Hitachi trains came out and from what i believe started service on GWR, I think since DTG got the license already, It would be great to have these new trains in regular service in TSW. Here are some screens. I wouldn't be surprise if they already started doing this.
It would be a very nice addition. I would have thought DTG would need to do little work to the older models already made for TS. The same could be said for the 387 too. Sam
This, like the class 387 ''Elektrostar'' which I suggested as well, would be a nice addition. The only problem I see is, either DTG would have to update the route slightly (add in catenery) or this could be done through the community once creator tools are released. But there would have to be too versions: partially electrified: HSTs and possible a few 800s and fully electrified: many 800s, few or no HSTs, because this is how it is in reality. But yeah, either way, this (like the class 387) should definitely be considered as future DLC...
Dovetail say 'We'll take it into consideration', they should really tell us what's knocking about in development. For all we know, they may be working on it already... and we don't know about it! .....It's kinda like the government.
They probably are making either this or the Class 387 but won't announce it until it is near release. If they are making this, they will probably announce it in a few months.
I am hope put new class 800 in addon in the game and in great western railway and class 387 too in great western railway
I reckon that while it's definitely possible we'll see the 801/802 for TSW soon, we might potentially see it be included if the ECML gets made as a DLC, perhaps in the new livery LNER has given them.
I'm really annoyed that the HST's are going. They were the only mode of transport in the UK where it was legal to stick your head out of the window doing 125mph. I am not so keen on the new 800's although maybe in the future when the whole line is electrified then maybe, just maybe they will be better in my eyes...
Some HSTs are leaving GWR, but a couple remain to work services in Devon and Cornwall as shortened formations. The ones leaving are going to ScotRail to work the Inter7City services. HSTs will remain on the Midland Main Line for a couple of years, it's expected that the next franchise will replace the EMT HSTs with new bi-modes, but this franchise hasn't been awarded yet. With the CrossCountry franchise once again getting a directly awarded extension, their HSTs aren't going anywhere anytime soon. The trains will be fitted with power operated doors, the slam doors do not meet accessibility regulations which come into force at the end of 2019. Leaning out of the window is likely to become a thing of the past.
Its pretty much all plastic out of Padd these days, there are some HST diagrams left but all slowly going over to 800s etc.
Bump. I think the GWML is the most requested so far. Hope this sees the light of day in TSW, would look 100%
How would this be done? DTG make a diesel 800 for the GWE, then use the same shell for an electric ECML version? Wouldnt have thought bi mode could be on the cards.
