I thought I’d create a poll to see what feature/improvement the community would most want to have implemented in TSW2. I’ve tried to include the most popular improvements often discussed on this forum. Obviously most people would want multiple improvements but I thought it would be a good idea just to do a poll of one choice per person to see which improvement would be most wanted so DTG can see where they need to focus their work.

I think much better draw distances. Having shadows, trees and fences appearing or morphing in front of you is immersion destroying.

I've gone for multiplayer because I'd love to see what it's actually like, and if anyone either sticks to the rules or if it creates more traffic on the lines.
But secretly I want passenger information systems at stations

Oh if only they figured out a way to share custom liveries at tsw2s release.

Please notice I mentioned Draw distances and terrain, because I am PS4 user!
    I suffer this a lot!
On PC I believe this not be an important issue.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Custom liveries, I believe will be only for locomotives unfortunately!
This is due to what they mentioned about the scenery planner.
The train consist you will use, will be made from DTG.
So if each one, creates its owns passenger wagons or freight cars liveries, they will have to create lot of consists in order to satisfy everyone.
For locomotives there is no problem, due to today we have more than one livery, and you select which locomotive will use when you start play..

Working trophies, though that wasn't an option above.
From the list though, longer routes

I wonder why they didn't add it they have time to add a pointless livery editor that no one wanted

A conductor would be cool especially for the Long Island Railroad as the conductor in the middle of the train opens and closes the doors, not the actual train driver

I'd like a better interface and HUD. In so many ways, I prefer the good old Train Simulator interface over TSW1.

But unfortunately the poll options are limited. I guess all the poll options would be 'nice to have' features, but none of them are near my 'most wanted' list.

I know, but as far as I know no details have been revealed yet. I'm looking forward to see what the new HUD changes in TSW2 are.

Longer routes for sure, but it was a toss-up between that, dynamic weather and conductor mode.

Any of those three would improve the experience immensely.

Dtg are gonna discuss longer routes in the next q&a because we can't be having the same trend anymore of short unconnecting non full line routes

Consist editor. Now the trains in America is most 40 wagons. Average train is 80-110 Wagons and many trains with 200 wagons.
I want to drive a realistic train in TSW2. And If not Dovetail make them I want to do them myself.

If I could choose three, it would be:
    - Dynamic Weather System
    - Passenger information displays on trains and platforms
    - Longer routes, I.e. above 50 miles

Definitely longer routes. I really want to see one of my local train the Pacific Surfliner or Metrolink on the Antelope Valley line added and they are both over 50 miles.

DTG are gonna talk about longer routes in the next q&a and hopefully a strategy moving forward to make full line routes in tsw instead of a non full line routes because a majority want that and we can't be getting the same nonsense

I think multiplayer would make a big change in how to play the train sim world it will bring - friends - communication and so much more!
That's why i think multiplayer is important but of course, this is my opinion.

Longer routes would be great, and I would love multiplayer. Maybe multiplayer could get us closer to having steam locos in the game.

Multiplayer would be nice but I'm confident that it would just be a whole mess with bugs and extreme lag. DTG hasn't had a great track record when making certain things

Multiplayer mode with one player working as a signalman/gamemaster. I think that is the only way to have really dynamic situations with random signal failures and power outages.

I agree and this could work for the London Underground bakerloo line, Amtrak Northeast corridor, and other routes that are passenger train based.

Well it would be unrealistic in the London Underground because the train operator opens and closes the doors as well as driving the train. London Underground lines don't have a conductor

Yes it would as the train driver doesn't open and close the doors in the NYC subway but a conductor does so this feature should come for realism purposes

A bigger draw distance, especially on consoles. The WTC skyline in New York or the missing water texture in the SF Bay Area are small but important details.
Another point is the weather system. Dynamic weather sounds good, but I like to see a revision of the existing weather options in the service mode. For example there is no adjustment bar for fog. Of course it exists weather presets for a foggy summer or autumn day, but you can't adjust the density of the fog.
Also very important is the camera zoom, it still didn't exist on consoles, but it's a nice feature.

And if it's foggy, to get the fog out of the tunnel especially on the Long Island Railroad because we get fog even in the tunnels which is hugely unrealistic

Just did a service in blizzard conditions (not by choice, I enjoy having frames) and the whipped up snow effects still happen all the way down to Penn Station.

Yeah it happens to me. In real life that would not happen since the station is underground. dtg has to fix that

I put down that I would like some PIS TSW2, but does that also include on-board and station announcements? Because I believe that that is just as important in my eyes.

Multiplayer is also important, but it would rely on having a Conductor/Guard mode. Because there is no point if you can only be a driver.
Glad to see more countries being involved, but would really really love some more longer routes with a mix of passenger and freight. I made a post about a Danish route which is about 100km, so it is hopefully a good length, and there is plenty to do. As long as you can do things on the line and not spend 1 or 2 hours at a station just waiting to see something, then longer routes would be great.
