Not to anger The Tube fans, but I would say the ICE 3M is probably the most interesting addition announced yesterday. It brings up a couple of questions though, so I'm just going to lay them all out here:
    1) Already with speeds over 160 km/h, Germans use LZB as a safety system. Half of the route Köln - Aachen is equipped with it. Can we expect it to appear in TSW2?
    2) Some of the connections (Frankfurt - Köln - Aachen - Brussels) on this route use doubled units. Can we see these as well? Those would become the longest passenger trains is the game (2x8 coaches).
    3) NS logo version? (It's truly just a different logo, that's it :D)
    4) Although it is mostly the domain of classic ICE 3, would it be possible for ICE 3M to appear on HRR?

Bonus question (IMPORTANT): Will the ICE have toilets modelled?

Koln to Aachen is 71km (43 miles)
An ICE takes 35 mins non stop
    An RE takes 51 mins

So in best case scenario it's a 50 minute route...? That's kinda lame, tbh.

The route only seems to come with the ICE3M so it's a 35 min route

The Koln - Brussels trains are only operated by a single ICE3M and the trains to Amsterdam use a different route

They did mention it also came with the BR442

"Experience German High Speed for the first time with the Köln Schnellfahrstrecke route driving the DB BR 406 ICE 3 and DB BR 442 ‘Talent 2’."

Oh yeah, my bad, just noticed the second set splits off in Köln and goes to Amsterdam. Well, at least the services could see some coupling action.

Here's hope the rolling stock from other german routes can be seen here. Freight trains would be nice.

The BR442 is such an ugly train it's literally a minus point towards whether I want to buy the game or not, lol. I don't really care about german stuff to begin with, but ICE is pretty cool so I say okay, but BR442 just puts me off. I don't want to see that thing. I don't want the files of that thing on my harddrive. I don't want to pay for that thing, but I will have to if I want to buy TSW2.

Probably not, because they would've stated it as a selling point otherwise.

To an extent, yes, but they've been doing weird things with such selling points. There's, for example, no mention of MSB content compatibility on the HRR Steam page. This might be... I hope this is the same case.

DTG have already said that the content you own in TSW can be used in TSW2

I think you don't understand his question. That doesn't mean other german trains are going to be present on the ICE route. Not all german trains are present on all german route, just like not all british trains are on all british routes, etc.
They wrote that the ICE and the other EMU will be on the route. So if they didn't mention other trains and freight, then probably because they are not gonna be on the route.

I think we are in a wait and see situation unless it gets clarified in the stream tonight or at some point before release. It might also be worth noting that, as stated in the FAQ, the preserved content all needs some work on it to enable it to work in TSW2 and they only aim to have that all preservation work done by release, so some content from TSW2020 might not even appear in TSW2 straight away, let alone be useable in new routes. We will definitely know more after the stream but the answers there may bring up even more questions.

Content you own in tsw1 will not be used in any tsw2 route that being Bakerloo, Sandpatch 2, Koln-Aatchen or any route created for tsw2 thereafter.
TSW1 content is only played via a section dedicated to TSW1 only.

You can use your TSW1 on any route with the scenario editor and the “off the rails” option selected. TSW1 or “preserved” DLC will be updated so this will work, it will be a phased in approach after TSW2 is released.

This is a recent development from DTG.
