For a long time now I've been wanting to make a fan-rail video for my YouTube channel, but I could never figure out how to actually do it. So yesterday I came up with an idea, I started recording at Reading station, and each station after that. But in order to get the footage I needed, I ended up recording for 2 hours at Reading station alone. (That 2 hours became the first 6 minutes or so of the video) So far I finished the video up until Maidenhead station, that's another hour of footage recorded for each of them. And the total length of the video so far, just under 18 minutes. Also, to make it a little more interesting, every station is one hour later. Started at Reading at noon, so as the video progresses, you will gradually see the lighting change. Lastly, here are some screenshots. (I will update any progress I make)
Another small update, I've finished the video up until Slough station. So that's the first 6 stations done, bringing the video to 41 minutes so far. Still 21 to go though, so this will take a while to get it done. Anyway that's 41 minutes of video out of 7 hours of recorded footage. To give you an idea how many trains pass by in one hour, (edited down to 11 minutes), I've added screenshots from Slough station.
