i think a good idea for a new loco would be Amtrak new chargers they can be add to a new route or they could be just by them self to use on route like the northeast corridor or any other route that has passenger train run by Amtrak.

The only logical routes that the SC-44 Chargers actually run on in game are the Pacific Surfliner and the Chicago Racetrack route, as part of Amtrak California and Amtrak Midwest Respectively. Though in a few years I expect the Chargers to start replacing the aging P42 fleet.

Part of the line is on the Stevens Pass route but that's about it. Would be nice for G-Trax, Great Northerner, VNHRR etc to do their next BNSF route in the Pacific North West (Either Oregon or Washington)

The Cascade service runs between Eugene, Oregon and Vancouver, BC. No where even close to the Pacific Surfliner.
They are the only service that run the Talgo Trainsets.

Hmm...... Dont know what Amtrak thought when making this scheme....but if Chargers ever come to the game, this could be a candidate...

I'd recommend something similar to the acs-64, with a black cab border rather than that red...
But I'm really liking the nose.

The arrow at the back fits very well if the chargers are made dovetail or dtm makes them and give us the ability to open the doors and windows and cold start it

Don't think they'd really be at home on the Northeast Corridor, that's an electrified route and mostly has the Acelas and Siemens Electrics these days

I actually like the phase VI idea. It certainly is unconventional, but I like the red white and blue (although that shade of blue could've been different), it is reminiscent of the older schemes and the old Amtrak Arrow. But I do hope they come up with something different for the rest of the fleet! I certainly am pleased with how they redid the front; Honestly, I do not care for the front of the SC-44s.

I can't wait to see the 50th anniversary Charger!

I guess the chargers were already made but the person who made them closed down and stopped making them

I like the look of the SC44 Chargers. Interestingly, there are 3 versions: the SC-44, the ALC-42, and the SCB-40. I've seen a few in railfan videos on YouTube. The Amtrak version would be great. Also, VIA rail has ordered 32 SCB-40s, so a new Canadian Route with commuter trains could include them.

For a Via Rail route I would love the Quebec City - Windsor corridor, with a Via Rail P42 and LRC coaches, and some GO transit action for DLC perhaps. Market it like NYNH.

The design of the nose is...okay, in my opinion. I do not however, like that odd slope indentation under the windows.

But as of late, it seems that more and more we're converting from wonderful American designs in passenger rail, to European ones, it just doesn't seem right to me. Perhaps I'm too patriotic in terms of locomotive design? After the genesis, it seems as if we're just copying french and German designs.

Well, most passenger locomotives/trainsets are being designed by overseas companies. Siemens is based in Germany.

Not to mention both major US locomotive builders don't produce passenger locomotives much anymore.
GE hasn't Made one since the Genesis (2002)
And EMD faltered with the F125 and only were able to sell it to Metrolink, losing out to the Charger in other markets.

That's true, considering the lack of American-based locomotive manufacturers. (Or American-based manufacturing in general).

MotivePower (formerly Morrison-Knudsen) and their MPXpress have been fairly successful
