I'm not saying in anyway that canada was a good or bad choice but there are so many other great options that canada which boarder with the U.S.(In case you forgot)seems like a strange choice for dtgs new 4th county,(It's trains are just U.S equipment with CN roadnames,wait did i just answer part of my own question).Think of all other counties around the world with there own styles and designs of locomotives and rolling stock and passengercars that dovetail games could have tried to get a license to use and we got stuck with canada.again not a terrible choice just not a very enticing one.(Even the Hamilton yard free roam area had about 1/3 of the route be nothing more then a cameo before it left) PS:I know tsw2 comning next month but this has been making me wonder since CN O.S. came out.
I think the logical answer maybe is that they already had the gp-38 & the assets but I think it's mostly about the licensing
