Budd M3 Sound Issues: Playstation 4

    Hello,

I have just purchased the LIRR Budd M3 on TSW 2020 for PlayStation 4. Are there sound issues with this add on?

The horn sound is extremely faint and there are no track or engine sounds. All I seem to hear is the whooshing of the air con.

Nothing changes, even with the cab window open. It doesn’t sound very realistic and it’s not as enjoyable or immersive as the M7.

    Thanks in advance

So what I've noticed is that the horn is OK when your window is closed but faint when open. Ofcourse I olay with my cab door open and I think that's what makes it louder for me. Thr train doesn't have the humming of the proolsion like the M7 does and that's pretty much how it is in real life. (I fuequent the LIRR). The only real sound bug I've noticed is the doors. Theybused the sound from the M7 when the M3 doesn't really make noise. But I do love how the passenger lights and HVAC shut off when your crossing a car-lengthed gap in the third rail. Like how the propulsion goes quiet on the M7 for thw same reason.

All you can hear in the cab is fans, you can't hear the traction motors though.

That's how the real one is. It was built in the early 80s. Traction motors were different and kinda quiet. The hvac, total opposite. It's the same with a lot of the older stock in and around NYC.
It wasn't until the "new technology" fleets that the propulsion had sound

There's a bug with the horn. Opening the window makes the horn quieter. I think they've set the horn sound the wrong way around...

Yeah, trust me all you can hear is the fans. :)

I was considering buying the M3 for the LIRR, but as the fan sound is the dominant cab sound, this has put me off. Sticking with the M7.

You can hear the fans, but that doesn't explain why the horn is louder with the window shut. That just defies science and common sense.

This bugs the heck out of me. It's like the sound environments are the wrong way around.
