    Normally we'd post this thread for your questions after the trailer had been released - it's still doing laps of various approval processes at the moment. Since we want to give you ample time to ask your questions, this is the official thread in which to submit them.

    Topics for this Friday are:
    The Bakerloo Line
    Route selections - how do we choose what to make
    Route length

    We'll also be talking about NEC and passengers. Hold your questions on those two topics, as what we're planning to talk about will probably cover the majority of what you want to know.

    1.- Can the trains included with the Bakerloo line be started from cold and dark in a detailed way like the CSX:HH locos do?
    2.- Have you considered letting us add the missing markers and scenery pieces (collectables) from the external view when we find them? Its annoying to have to stop the train in the middle of nowhere to do that.

    For me, the important questions are:

    - What is the timetable mode like. What frequency? Do we have the various service patterns that exist in real life? Do we have ECS moves from the depot?

    - Are route extensions possible, even if not planned? Would it ever be possible to extend the Bakerloo to Watford Junction and Euston, allowing LO services for example?

    • Please can you confirm the route inclusions, any exclusions
    • are the different speed limit systems modelled and signs included (tube train speed limits start at the front of the train on LUL and the rear on BR lines)
    • how far away from the tube platform is modelled for freeroam, could you walk up to the gateline for instance

    Will the routes be longer if the game is optimised for next gen consoles? And if so will there be next gen only routes?

    Will the WCML have any sort of traffic on it, as well as Wembley and Willesden Yards, or will it be completely empty and dead?

    Will we see any AI traffic on the adjacent WCML? If not why not?

    How much freedom are you given when exploring the different underground stations? Can you go beyond the platforms for instance?

    • How much access did TfL give you when making the route and trains - were there areas that took more time and research
    • How much freedom will be given to us when exploring the stations, especially those with multiple exits/interchanges.

    Now that the engine has been upgraded. Is it faster to work with it?? will it allow to create longer route? for example koln frankfurt??

    So, I would like to repeat my questions from previous thread.
    Route length.
    1. When we are talking about the routes length what maximum length can we expect in future DLCs?
    2. Are you going to release route extensions for old routes from preserved collection?
    3. Are you going to merge RRO and RSN?
    4. Are you going to release really huge routes, for example, full NEC, ECML, WCML etc by releasing pack of separate DLCs?
    Another countries.
    In your FAQ you've mentioned that "this year you are going to focus on the high speed trains". What about TGV, Italian routes etc?
    Future of current NEC DLC (+ Amtrak switcher 1000R and GP-40-2).
    What are your plans regarding these stuff? Can we expect to see it in foreseen future?

    My question was: what sort of scenarios we would see with the Bakerloo Line. Would it be like more passenger related (like bags stuck between doors or doors malfunction?) or more like rush hour scenarios (strict timetable...)

    Does the route ship with a full IRL TT for service mode, if so which TT number/date?
    Will any scenarios take advantage of the number of turnback opportunities along the route, for example at Paddington and Piccadilly Circus?
    Two styles of destination blind have been shown in previous material, the older double line and newer single line style, are we just getting one or both in the final product?
    Will the 1972 MkIs (3264-7/3564-7) be represented, at least in number?
    Are the select number of red-ended 33xx DMs in game?
    Do the 33xx DM vehicles have the correct cab differences versus the 32xx/35xx cabs?
    Are all 3 braking systems (EP, Rheostatic and Westinghouse) present on the 1972 stock?
    Is the RPA (Rotary Pneumatic Accelerator) correctly modelled, and can you hear the contactors in the DM/UNDM passenger saloon as per reality?
    Can the trains be split into their two parts, and is this used in any scenarios?
    Is Kilburn High Road station included?
    Have the conductor rail ramps and pot spacing been corrected since the last few screenshots?
    Are section gaps properly modelled in the correct locations?
    Is the 'tunnel section' 3rd rail style used in the tunnels as per reality or has the standard weight just been re-used?

    And for the more general portion, are route extensions still on the cards? A good candidate would be extending Bakerloo to Watford and/or Euston to allow for Overground and AWC/LNR workings, somewhat improving the lack of immersion caused by an empty WCML.

    1) Will we be able to change the destination
    2) Will there be packed trains on the Bakerloo in peaks
    3) Will there be possibilities as a speculative point for other routes in future on and including the London Underground

    Are there depot services where you cold start the loco and bring it into service and the other way around where you take them out of services and into the depot?
    If so will all the depots on the line be usable?
    What is your planned route length for the future will we see some longer routes like Hannover-Berlin (256 km / 159 miles) for example?
    If we not see routes of this length in one piece could you release routes in smaller chunks that then get connected with each other?

    I would add, which safety systems are there present /included at all?

    Do you get more points for playing with safety systems activated?

    Are there any new systems we can see on the LU. Like mirrors at stations,announcements etc.

    Also is there 5 scenarios included. As I could imagine it being hard to make scenarios for the LU

    • Are speed controlled signals, draw up signals and speed controlled trainstops implemented?
    • In this screenshot leaving Queen's Park heading south, I noticed that those white number on blue background car countup markers were missing. Will those be included in the final version of the route?

    1) Is the train audio synthetic or recorded or bits of both?
    2) Are there sparks?
    3) Are the flange sounds and track joints nice and loud in the tunnel like it is in reality?
    4) What announcements are included?
    5) Do we get to find the maps as the little collectables like in other routes?
    6) Is the map a Tube Map, and if so, when is the map?
    7) Can we hear the train clanging through the tunnel as it approaches the station underground?
    8) Do the windows on the gangway doors open in the carriages? If so does it become louder like in reality?
    9) When the windows are open in reality, it becomes much louder and you hear the echos and the traction motors really going all out? Is this recreated well?
    10) What traffic is along the WCML? Because you can't just leave it empty, it's almost as busy as the Tube.
    11) If DTG hasn't added any WCML traffic, can we add WCML traffic with the scenario planner?
    12) Does the 1972 stock make a heck of a lot of noise in general, as it should?
    13) Is any sort of addon DLC even going to be considered for this TSW world?

    Is there anything that we can do to help increase the chances of our local and/or favourite route being chosen by DTG to produce in the future? (Including/especially outside US, DE, UK)
    Eg. Confirming that a rail company has a dedicated brand licensing contact. Proving that an abundance of publicly available operation and reference material exists.

    To be honest, I do not get very excited upfront from the Bakerloo Line. I definitely would like to know why this route was chosen. There are many metro lines in the world and I think you missed an opportunity to do something in other countries. For example, there is an awesome metro line running from Rotterdam to Hoek van Holland (I think this one is not very hard to build), but also you might choose a metro line in Berlin, Paris Prague and many other cities.

    As far as I understand, route length now is mainly determined by costs. Do you consider to solve this ise by new ways of working?
    • Do you consider to use route extensions to combine routes, like it is doe in TS2020 in several cases?
    • An alternative might be the approach of Thomson Interactive, release the combined route as workshop?
    • Would it be an idea to do projects as community projects? E.g. by letting experienced community members submit landmarks for a route. If this helps to make routes in other countries than UK, US and Germany possible, this may be a very good idea.

    Mind you having said that if you dont walk in the four foot going through the tunnels you may well end up falling through the map (I have hundreds of times lol).

    LIRR and ECW have third rail gaps, so they have the ability to do it. I would therefore assume that the Bakerloo Line has them too.

    I haven't read this elsewhere, but what's the optimum screen resolution you will be developing the game for?

    Obviously not 800x600 :), but you will be aiming for a balance between performance and screen quality.
    I ask because most monitors have a recommended setting. Mine is 1680x 1050 which on a standard route gives me 59-60 fps so I haven't been bothered with playing around with the settings.
    May have to when the new flight sim arrives.

    A bit indirect one on route length - does TSW2 allow for route extensions? For example, with Köln-Aachen an extension to Liege would be something to consider - stunning station, new country, a similar length to K-A

    1. How many services are included with this route? what is the maximum frequency on timetable mode?

    2. Is there depot runs in the morning and night?

    3. Will there be any AI traffic on the WCML?

    4. Can PC users open/close doors without using a popup menu or the mouse? i.e a keyboard command for open left/right?

    5. Will the loading time for passengers be different for this route because its a tube? i.e quicker loading times?


    Finally if you have time/isnt covered already,
    Will we see windowscreen condensation/demist or temperature/AC controls in TSW2?

    Guess the obvious one about the Bakerloo is will there be at least some form of AI traffic once you pop out of the tunnels and onto the Watford DC? And how many services will be included in the timetable mode?

    On the subject of route selections, and yes this is a long shot granted but will the T&W Metro ever be considered?
