The fact that people are voting for a 1.5 mile route that will only have a 3 minute drive through a tunnel in it and another in the opposite direction shows one or more of the following things... 1. They don’t know anything about what they are voting for 2. They are not taking the poll seriously 3. They actually want that route (while elsewhere on the forum probably complaining that some 40 mile route isn’t long enough) You could probably say similar things about the reasons for voting for routes that operate automatically, but I don’t know, maybe sitting there doing nothing but open and close doors for an hour is enough for some people. The Piccadilly line, which is long and has driver operated trains, lots of depots and sidings, underground and overground sections, has hardly any votes. It doesn’t make much sense.
If they did W&C it would be with something such as the Circle or District I would presume, so you could interchange between 2 lines through a teleport of some sort. However, I would hope the District or Jubilee would come to our screens, although with the platform doors it would be extremely tricky to operate a Jubilee one.
I play the Waterloo And City Line in OpenBVE I did vote for that route. I think it's a cool route. It reminds me of the 42nd street shuttle here in Manhattan. DTG couldn't charge $29.99 for a 1.67 mile route
I personally would like the Circle, Waterloo And City and Victoria Lines. The thing is dtg makes routes that don't go the full length in real life which is why people complain. If the route is 17 miles in real life, then ok. But we continue to get unconnecting non full line routes hence why people complain as well. I know the Waterloo And City Line is short but if they added it, I wouldn't complain. The Bakerloo Line is short but it's the full line (even though it really wasn't asked for by a huge number of players) but at least it's the full length. If dtg are gonna make a route, they should make the full line of that particular route. Example, if they're gonna add the Port Washington branch which is 18.5 miles, we should get the full 18.5 miles not 2.4 miles or if they're gonna add S8 in Rhein Rhur Osten which is 60 miles in full from Hagen HBF to Monchengladbach HBF we should get the full 60 miles, not 17 miles
They could do the Jubillee or Northern lines in 2011 when are were manual And don’t say that DTG can’t trace back there cause they can since how could they trace UK routes from the 80’s
BVE allows automatic train operation as well as manual so would be fun to do for authentic sensation.
Could throw in a scenario where you’re running in ATO and something happens which means you have to change to manual operation. Signal failure or an issue with the train or something.
I think by now we are aware that due to its size, we will never get the full length of the Piccadilly line and that’s something that’s evidently bugging players, and I understand the whole logic. I do agree with you, the Piccadilly line would be a sweet edition to the game, but all lines can be driven manually and are when required or if above ground when you wish to keep up your driving knowledge on your rolling stock (which is a requirement on LUL on automated lines) so if an auto line is added, you should be given the option in the mode the train operates in.
If Waterloo & City is ever made it would have be either included in, or made after the Central Line is made in order to properly justify the development of the 1992 Stock. Then and only then could a very cheap single stop route be viable for a cheap price.
Seen as the Waterloo & City is run by Central line T/O’s it would make sense to incorporate the two together. You could have a fair section of the Central to cover and the W&C thrown in with it.
I agree because dtg wouldn't be able to charge $29.99 for the Waterloo And City Line which is a 1.67 mile route
No we can it’s only 44miles long We had Penninsula corridor which is 47miles long And now the ICE route which is 40 something miles long
TBH I'd expect the Waterloo and City line to be free if it just aliases content from the Central Line, if it was ever made.
It's not necessarily about the length, its about the number of stations and yards. Peninsula Corridor has 26 Stations and a yard. The New ICE Route has 18 Stations that need to be modelled plus a couple of yards. The Bakerloo has 25 stations and 3 depots. The Piccadilly has 53 Stations and 2 depots.
As mentioned already, it isn’t just about the length of the route, it’s the number of stations involved too. It could be done and I hope it does get done, but only time will tell.
It's nice hear dtg say that the Bakerloo Line was not the most requested underground line and we had people trying to argue that it probably was (stujoy and others) which was completely false. Hopefully the next underground line is the London Underground Circle Line as it is the most requested and popular
He didn’t say it was false He said that you don’t know if the circle line was the most requested which is true Because you weren’t here in 2017/2018 so how can you know
It's called looking back at the suggestions fourm and looking at all the pages which I have. Duh. Also there were people on youtube who did that as well and confirmed it
How about instead of arguing about what is and isn’t right now, they’ve in a roundabout way confirmed we will get more London Underground routes so let’s see what happens.
Piccadilly would likely be the next target if any. They expressed they don't want routes with ATO, and I believe that is the only other one (Correct me if I am wrong). It is a nice route, and would encompass many aspects that we may not see in Bakerloo. Of course it would not likely be the whole line, probably just the central bit and the south, or the central bit with the north
Carrying on there would be the possibility I would suspect for it to be set in the pre-ato, which would be for the circle, around the introduction of the S7 stock. This would prove for some good driving, especially if the C Stock was included as well. I really hope they pursue the licence, as there was a good reception generally, apart from the WCML, which would not apply to other lines.
PIccadilly line has double the amount of stations and 83 trains in service, rather than 27 for the Bakerloo line.
Most likely the Hammersmith and City line, was only fitted with ATO last year between Baker Street and Hammersmith.
If there is a option to drive a train in full automatic mode and manuel mode for routes that have ato, I would love to have that option in the game
