The Tees valley route is fantastic, but could be added to! "Darlington to Eastgate Cement Works", "Eaglescliffe to Northallerton" and Saltburn to Skinningrove. This would expand the base route in stages and give it more operational meaning. Each Section could come with a new motive power addon! Darlo to Eastgate already has its Motive power, But you could add a Class 142 for the rote as whole as the route is based in the era pacers took over. We had 143s for a short period before they were sent south in a swap for 142s. Eaglescliffe to Northallerton you could add a Class 56 and HAA wagons. Saltburn Skinningrove could be the addition of potash wagons. This would bring the whole project into line with what ran in reality.

The Tees Valley has still got loads of potential but as it's been "preserved" what we've got is all we're going to get. Very disappointing but there it is. Even before it was "preserved" we were told extensions wouldn't be happening. Not one route has received an extension since tsw started and this seems unlikely to change.
