PlayStation Train Sim World 2 Question And Answer

LIRR gives a very small amount of time for you to set up your Train, especially if you are using the M3 and have to run to the back to turn on the Marker Lights.

Probably around 20-30 FPS it'll most likely increase when traveling through a tunnel.

 

Well now we know it's just ECW in it, probably for those not having it by now. My idea was more of an added loco DLC for example (P42 for SPG maybe? )

 

I’ve been wondering this as well. Honestly, I doubt that will happen- probably too big of an ask with all of the work they’re doing on TSW 2. But I hope you’re right and I’m wrong... I would definitely be good with that! ;-)

 

Will there be a higher/better shadow draw distance than in TSW2020?

 

- In the new HUD the accelerometer is now a circle that moves up or down. In a future update, can that circle be changed to a small horizontal line? With a flat line moving up or down, it will be much easier and clearer to notice slight accelerations and decelerations than the 'big' circle.

- When Rapid Transit comes over as part of the preserved collection, will the sound of the Talent 2 be updated to the sound of the one on the Koln-Aachen route? Because the new sound is sooooo much better

...great idea about the changing the indicator on the accelerometer to a flat line- they could also change the color of this flat line to highlight movement even more.

 

Excellent point about the accelerometer. A line rather than that circle would be so much better. The door icon would look less cluttered and the line would give a more precise position.

 

Thanks for posting your note... I see I’m not the only one interested in the frame rate numbers we can expect to see out of TSW 2 on PS4. Sure hope it’s better than some of the numbers I’m seeing now (just ran some tests across a few routes today)... and hope they can do that without simplifying the environment (stripping out detail) to do it. We shall see I guess.

Still key for me, and as yet unanswered officially by DTG, is:

GWE, and RT are on my physical disc, not digital, so Playstation has no idea I have purchased these unlike all DLC I've bought since then (which is everything apart from the 204).
Can you confirm how these 2 routes will become part of my Preserved Collection in TSW2? I have no digital key as such.

I also raised this separately with Matt but I am sure this affects a fair number of PS4 players.

 

Not sure how PS works, but on xbox, when i used to buy disc copies of games, i still had to install them onto the xbox, so i imagine, is it not the same for playstation?.

You do install it yes, and you need the disk in to play it. But, because the ‘key’ to it launching is on the disk itself, PlayStation doesn’t store that key for you so doesn’t know you have the game. My concern for sometime has been that all dlc does come from the PS store and therefore you always own it, but for the game itself I can look in the PSN store now and it says I can buy it rather than having a status of ‘purchased’ as all the dlc does

 

Will LZB be enabled on the DB BR 182 for when this locomotive is used on the Köln > Aachen line. The train can comfortably exceed 160kph, but on current routes it doesn’t get to do so ‘officially’.

 

Will the Preserved Locomotives be able to be used on both Passenger and Freight? Just as an example, the Class 182 is used for passenger in RT, but the freight only on other routes.

 

I think they said in the SFS stream that pre TSW2 locos and EMUs aren't getting LZB.

 

Will bugs in TSW1 material be fixed when they get ported over to TSW2 as preserved collection? This weekend I did a timetable service with on Pen Cor with the bi-level cab car (11:00 - service 143). All went well untill I got to the end of the line. Shortly after leaving Bayshore I got to a red that didn't clear. On the map I saw there were 2 trains ahead of me, waiting to get to San Fran. Both did't budge. Tried saving and reloading, didn't help. So 1.5 hrs wasted and about 24k XP down the drain. Hope this service (and other bugged ones) will work correctly once they're in TSW2

 

I would actually take some stripped down scenery for a better, faster, smoother frame rate tbh

 

Most people considers the 266 running in Germany as Class 66

 

For that you will have to wait and buy ps5!

 

Surely a simple solution to this is just make GWE and RT free for everyone on PS/Xbox stores. They are old routes now that probably aren't going to sell alot more. So make it simple for everyone and make them free.

Will the LZB be implemented in TSW1 content ?
