Welcome back to the Train Simulator Screenshot Contest! This is the 31st week of 2020.

This week's theme is: No Trains

You can vote for next week's theme in the poll attached to this thread. What is your choice?

Follow us on Instagram (instagram.com/trainsim) to see your screenshots featured on our feed!

    How does it work?

You can submit your screenshot to the thread, and every Friday we will choose which screenshots will go to the loading screens. Shortly after, we will open a new thread and announce the winners. Each week has its own theme which is voted for by the community.

    Competition Rules:

    • Include in your post the route the screenshot was taken on as well as the name of the train (if applicable).
    • Screenshots must be in a 16:9 resolution, at least 1920x1080 pixels.
    • Screenshots must fit the theme of the week, as stated at the beginning of this post.
    Other Rules:

    • Official content only. Please make sure anything that is not available on the Steam Store or Dovetail Store is not shown in the screenshot. - This means no reshade, repaint mods, track upgrades or workshop routes.
    • Your entry may be disqualified if it is deemed to not follow these rules. Please limit chat to only when absolutely necessary.
    • Competition closes at mid-day Friday (UK time). The winner will be chosen every Friday.
    • Winner's Prize: The winning screenshot will appear in the game as a loading screen for 4 weeks!

    T&C:
    • Please refer the terms and conditions for this competition here:

As all of the Corris Railway's locomotives are either handling trains or not in need of repairs right now, the maintenance shops sit empty, making for a cool picture.

Hi trainsimplayer2020! An error for this screenshot: Celerina / Schlarigna station is not on the Bernina (Pass) line but on the Albula line. It was even the terminus station of the line when it opened in 1903. It was not until 1904 that the line reached St. Moritz. ;-)

It is Bernina Pass as I was playing Bernina Pass.
    The picture says Bernina Pass.

So explain to me why you say it is not Bernina Pass.

If you play the Bernina Pass (or col de la Bernina) you go from St. Moritz to Poschiavo and you cannot go through Celerina / Schlarigna which is on the Albula line. Between St. Moritz and Poschiavo there is the Celerina Staz station but it is not the one in your screenshot. With a merge between the Albula line and the Bernina line you can pass through both "Celerina" stations ...

Thank you for your kind comments. This is a favourite screenshot of mine too. Having family in the NE of England I've been several times to Durham Cathedral and I think DTG/Kuju did a great job of modelling it.

Didn't even looked at this thread until I saw this last night. Very nice. I assumed this was in the W&T at first and hadn't really appreciated the model in ECML. You can even see the difference in the stonework where the central tower was extended.

The Cathedral is Norman so it's 900 years old and some change. As is usually the case it did replace a Saxon Minster that was built by St. Cuthbert's order which had been based in Durham since 995 IIRC. Sorry- perhaps I worked in Durham Heritage Centre (the tower of which should actually be visible in this picture) for too long.

Indeed- the viaduct offers a view of Durham that is hard to beat. In LNER days the corridor stock that made up expresses was deliberately marshalled with the compartments on the east side so passengers had a view of Durham and York Minster.

There's a lot else not modelled such as the university buildings to the south, but given the distance and line of sight from the railway line that's understandable. I'll have to look at the Weardale route to see how it's modelled there.

Oh- indeed. There'd be no excuse for not representing the Cathedral and Castle but the Library, Pemberton's and the other buildings around Palace Green... they do shape the view somewhat so they'd be nice to see but the route builders have got to stop somewhere. I wasn't bashing by any means.
