As many of you fellow Londoners know, TfL Rail was due to fully open a long time ago but due to never ending setbacks it hasn’t yet happened. Once it’s fully open, perhaps we could get a TfL Rail route? We had Paddington to Reading on the GWR, but what about an up-to-date version from Shenfield to Heathrow or Shenfield to Reading as a possible route in the future? I’d be hyped for that.
Just a correction, the line will be called the Elizabeth Line. TfL Rail is a temporary name whilst construction is completed. As it stands the route from Shenfield to Heathrow isn't complete and until it is they won't be able to produce this route. Saying that it would still be nice to see the creation of part of the current route between Liverpool Street to Shenfield. It could be an opportunity to introduce various stock with both passenger and freight activity. Likewise between Heathrow and Paddington.
As a TfL employee, I am well aware of what the name of the line will be called. I personally prefer “TfL Rail” but yes, the correct name would be useful if made.
