Why has this route been chosen? With one type of train and only 8.5 miles of track, this isn't going to be a very interesting route after 1 or 2 runs.
Probably chosen as a short route so that Rivet Games could get used to the new TSW 2 engine. To be fair, it looks to be a nice little route.
Now this would have been a good choice for a extra route for the tsw2 game release bundle, but sold separately i can't see it costing more then 14.99.
I had a suspicion based on the trackside photo. Hopefully this will get Rivet doing more for TSW2. Class 03 and 05 shunters could be added later.
Being a short route doesn't mean it won't still be fun to drive.also being short might mean it was more fully tested,(Hard to believe i know but rivets does test better and fix faster when needed, dispite dtg delaying getting us the rivet fix.
At least with the 1938 tube stock you could repaint it London Underground red then use the scenario editor to run it on the Bakerloo line !
After googling Island of Wight line I was greeted with this picture. If this part is included that alone is an amazing area! Let’s remember that the more options we have for routes the better it is for everyone. This will be Rivet games first route for the Train sim world franchise, a shorter route that pays more attention to detail could be something amazing. They definitely did a great job with the first locomotive they produced the DB204 and even updated the DLC with a new scenario and other fixes after listening to the community’s feedback.
Ohhhh I used to play the Isle of Wight on TS2013. It was a lot of fun. I still have it BTW. I think it's time to fire it up to do some routes meanwhile
