The Train Sim World 2 Roadmap has just been released for the first time. If you've not yet seen it, you can check it out here.

This Roadmap is intended to run as a long term project, and it'll take a while to see how projects move through the process. That said, it's likely you will have questions to help understand what we're showing here. We won't go into detail about forthcoming routes until they're coming up for launch - you're welcome to speculate, but we won't go in depth until routes or locos are close to release.

If you have a question, fire it in below and we'll answer as much as possible.

Nice to see what's coming up. But it's a bad thing that there are no other features on the roadmap apart from Raildriver, which have been demanded by the community for years (like Multiplayer, Steam Engines, etc.) (the editor is already dead) . So I suspect that these features are a long way off (if they ever come for the whole TSW series)
So my decision is made: I won't buy TSW 2.

I’m liking this a lot too. Shame there are no rough guidelines on the development timespan for each section but other than that looks good. Some very nice routes on their way and the first route outside of UK/US/Germany.

By my estimate it will take around 3 months for the community to get the most out of this Roadmap. By that time you'll have seen a fair bit going through the process. A lot of projects will have left the map, more will have been added. This will give you a good idea of the "normal" timeframes involved.

"[Route Add-On] CBB-R7 01 - Arosa Line. With Ge 4/4 II. (Developed by Rivet Games)

    A wise choice.
The swiss narrow routes on RhB is both demanding and fun to drive!:)

Yep, was one of my favourite routes for TS2020 along with Isle of Wight. I really hope they will get these routes right, cause the bakerloo line was a big dissapointment for me at least

for the london to Faversham route will kvb be properly modeled and working and also 1080p surport for the non pro ps4 would be nice instead of 900p until that is confirmed to me that the non pro ps4 will surport 1080p I won't be buying TSW 2

It looks to be the case because the class 313 is in planning

This looks very promising, good to see some new countries that might be introduced to TSW.

Just remember we may not see all add-ons listed in the roadmap so don't get too excited over this. Just a reminder as we all tend to get excited over things that may not be implemented

I'm rather excited, yet again my country misses out on routes, but im particularly glad that theres a focus on more modern locos. Even so much as the 313 for East Coast way

It would be a case of DLC for TSW2, unlikely not to be back cast to TSW

It’s probably going to be unique to the TSW 2 version of East Coastway.

This is certainly exciting news! Southeastern Kent High Speed (London to Faversham) was one of my favorites routes to drive on in TS2014, it honestly felt like that time 2013 when I got the game (TS2014). Time flies. I'm certainly looking forward to the future of this simulation!

Munich > Augsburg sounds pretty decent at almost 62km long with the DB BR 403 (ICE 3) and DB BR 423.

I really love this ... it helps me in my budget planning a lot. Love to see what awesome routes and locos may come. For me the BR363 and the Arosa line are absolute top of the list.

Let us not forget this is a planning and not everything may come as intended. If DTG can achieve 90% that would be awesome.

For most of it, I can find out what it is, but where is Cane Creek? Sounds intriguing though ...It also is nice to see some third party development.

I’d like to know what the codes mean ie with NDD-R5 01, what the letters and numbers refer to. Just for nerd points.

PS that’s a lot of Googling to do now finding out about all these goodies.

The Roadmap concept is a great idea and I welcome it.
Looks a little light on North American content in the near term, but the Cane Creek is a spectacular route and Clinchfield also mouth watering. Hope to see more American locos in the not too distant future.

Yes and London to Faversham is 51 miles so I’m very happy to see some slightly longer routes in here than what we’ve been used to recently.

Will you put secret content in the roadmap for example can't say about it 1 month but then make it public in another. For some of the content small portion ?

I think it's the Cane Creek branch off the Utah Desert Mainline, would be nice to see a bit of D&RGW action if that's true.

We don't need exact time frames we don't want content rushed. Adding crunch time won't help the devs and people would complain if not on time. What you put together is great information for us to look forward to.

Munich- Augsburg, BR 101, RhB, Marseille - Avignon... that's some VERY cool stuff and definitely something to look forward to

Seems like Dmitri was definetely right when he said in one of his last streams that this would be a good year for TSW! :)

Don’t forget though, if you already own it and buy TSW 2, you’ll get the TSW 2 version at no extra cost.

I'm really pleased with this. I've been wanting raildriver support for a long time. If we get the Arosa add on that will be fantastic, it's a great line in real life. Lot's of other things I would buy as well. I bought all of the DLC for TSW even though I'm not a huge fan of American content. Going to have to be a bit more selective now I think.
