Hello, I've been experiencing a constant and complete PC crash as soon as I try to load the "Zone One" scenario for the Bakerloo Line. Using Windows 10 1909 with a Radeon RX580 with 20.7.1 driver version. I don't experience with sort of PC crash with any other game (previous Train Sim World 2020 included)
Hey Guys try the older Driver Version 20.5.1 I had a very similar problem, game crash at the 3rd railwaystation after Aachen. I tried an older Driver Version and it worked.
Just a small update: I managed to get some actual crash dump files by just waiting for the game to "understand" that it crashed, ending back into desktop without rebooting the PC. The crash dump files look like they end up in the folder at path 'C:\Users\{myusername}\Documents\My Games\TrainSimWorld2\Saved\Crashes' instead of inside the installation directory
Hey guys, i can confirm rolling back to older drivers does indeed fix the issue... https://www.amd.com/en/support/graphics/radeon-500-series/radeon-rx-500-series/radeon-rx-580 I downloaded the recommended drivers which is version 20.4.2. no more crashes, this is obviously a driver issue that amd needs to fix?
the 20.4.2 Drivers have fixed this for me too, was a pain to get them installed though, even after using DDU it still somehow crashed while installing, a reboot fixed it though
I am still getting a crash with the Livery Editor everytime I load it. Same error as above:- Unreal Engine is exiting due to D3D device being lost I installed drivers 20.4.2. but it did not stop the crash. I have submitted a ticket to DTG. I am on Vega 56 8GB I have tried Drivers 20.1,20.4.1 and 20.4.2 and still crash when loading Livery Editor
I'll just join the list of users with this problem. RX 480, loading the "Zone one" scenarion is instantly a crash. I'll open a ticket and send them the logfiles, I have about 10 of those now. Sadly, I don't have any real hope DTG will be able to do something. This is mostly an AMD driver problem, and RX 480, RX 580 and some other GPUs are prime candidates for this sort of crash
This problem is not particular to AMD. Same problem here with a i7700k and GTX 1080. Exactly the same UE crash dump. Limits my playtime to 15 - 20 minutes sessions, where 5 minutes of that is setting the scenario up. Has happened every time I've decided to dare firing TSW2 up again. Half expecting my PC to spontaneously combust.
A little update from me: Downgrading the graphics driver down to 20.4.2 (the latest recommended, WHQL certified version) definitely helped and made everything much more stable. Through the graphics driver, I also allowed my RX 480 to take up to 25% more power, which seemed to help as well. I was able to do the "zone one" scenario without any problems and ran a couple of services on SKA without crashes. I'd recommend to go to the settings of your AMD driver and set it to only upgrade to recommended versions (not experimental)
I have same Problem with MSI Radeon RX 570 8GB ... the Game will crash there... After a little bit Playtime. Only by this Game: Driverversion 20.8.2 PC : AMD Ryzen 2600X G.Skill DIMM 32 GB DDR4-2400 Kit MSI Radeon RX 570 8GB 4 TB WD
You could try going to Driver 20.4.2 as this has helped some Gamers avoid crashes. This was the official DTG advice when I logged my bug. Worth a try.
it also happens with me. I'm running an RX570 with version 20.8.2. However it is not just on one scenario it happens, not instantly, but after some time in any scenario or service. Has anyone found a fix or will it just have to be a case of downgrading graphics drivers as obviously they are not supported at this time. this is the crash report i received.
