Currently considering buying in to TSW2, but one thing I was very surprised at is the lack of on-board passenger announcements. I was at first referring to the Bakerloo line, but I then realised this seems to apply to all routes? There is no doubt announcements add to the realism of any transport simulator, and so their omission puzzles me. Everything else I have seen looks good!
If that's all it takes to deter you from enjoying this game, while certainly not perfect, but surely a very good one at that, then maybe you should look for something else that gives you more joy.
I agree. Its my biggest dissapointment with the game right now. Not something that would stop me playing the game. But its something that breaks the realism. When you look at the level of detail Dovetail go to in almost everything else in the game, then the lack of announcements both on the train and on the platform sticks out like a sore thumb.
You could RP conductor on a train and do it yourself. I have done it and it can be quite fun actually.
