i had some crashes when I overclocked my graphic card through afterburner. Without it, that works good (nvidia here)
Are you using AMD hardware? If so please get in touch with the tech support team as they're looking into some AMD specific issues.
Yep, constant UE crash dumps every time I attempt to play. I'm hanging on for a fix before I request a refund. I'm also not messing with my drivers, as my PC is rock solid and only TSW2 does this. Hope to see some progress on this soon.
TRAIN SIM WORLD 2 OWNERS I had the same issues so when I submitted a ticket I found this in the auto reply you will have to roll back your drivers to the version below. If you're a user with AMD hardware that is experiencing a crash on launch or during play, please roll back your AMD Drivers to 20.4. You can download the driver from https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/release-notes/rn-rad-win-20-4-2. Unreal Engine 4 is currently not compatible with newer or beta drivers.
Yeah this has happened to me a few times already. It's super intermittent, as I played through 2+ hour scenarios without problems, and was just doing one and it CTD'd just like before. I didn't take note what driver version I was using before, but it was crashing, so I updated to the newest Beta Driver (20.8.2) and still getting the CTD. Each time in the Crash Reported I chose the "Send Error Report" option with the dump file.
The neweset beta driver (20.8.2) is at least in my experience very unstable. This driver is also considered "experimental" (or some other word for this) by AMD, and therefore probably hasn't received as much testing as the latest stable driver (20.4.2). Sadly, while the latest stable driver improves things, it does not resolve them. For me, this was already the case with TSW2020. I don't really think there is very much you can do to resolve this at the moment. It's either UE4 or the AMD driver that causes this, and for UE4 this bug certainly isn't an unknown one. I recommend using the 20.4.2 driver, setting automatic driver updates in its settings to only "recommenede" and hoping that sometime this gets resolved
I have had 3 UE crashes in the last 4 scenarios I have done (two on Schnellsfahrstrecke and one on East Coastway). I use nVidia card with latest driver (456.38). This is after playing the game since the day it was released without any incidents of any kind.
No issues with my GeForce GTX 1080 using 456.38. Just fired up East Coastway and played one of the 66 scenarios with aggerate loading and played fine had consistant fps over 100.
This is certainly an AMD issue - I have a DIY-rig, running Win10 64-bit, based on a ASUS ROG STRIX mainboard with the B450-F chipset and a Ryzen 7 CPU. I recently did a full upgrade but I kept the old graphic card since I'm on a budget – this is a ASUS Radeon ROG 580 GB OC which is still a decent performer. I had also upgraded to the latest Adrenalin 2020 edition drivers. Funny thing is that I had no problems whatsoever playing the whole Sand Patch scenario but enter the «Tube Bakerloo» or «DB Schellfahrstrecke» and it crashed big time. I have to add that the Adrenalin suite reported that my graphics card was a marginal performer and recommended the 5700-series... I almost forked out the extra money on a new card when I decided first to roll back the driver as I read on Steam that the driver might be the culprit. I picked up the good old 17.10.1711 (Crimson 17.4.2) driver that shipped with my 580. So far, so good – made the whole Bakerloo tour!
nvidia 2080 ti -evga- 456.71 -10-7-2020 drivers. last 2 weeks been getting more crash of tsw-tsw2 on new pc i9. on my old pc i7 game never crashed
I had the same problem, I installed the earlier Nvidia driver 446.14 it helped a lot but i still get the odd crash. Mike
Only had the one so far and that was on initial loading, not during gameplay. Do hate all the crap nvidia packs with their drivers though and the hdd space they take up.
...here’s a link to another thread where at least two players have switched to AMD 20.9.2 drivers and have been stable ever since. Might be worth checking out... if you try it, please update this thread with your results. Good luck! https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/unreal-engine-crash.25382/#post-186769
