I was designing a scenario only to take a couple of screenshots of a livery I have made and called the scenario "demonstration" which the system decided was not allowed... a naughty word I guess. But along with Sam being not able to use the word "passenger" on a stream, I came with an idea to start a less important - more giggles type of thread where I'd like you to share your hilarious banned words from the game.
Why is there profanity filter in an editor that doesn't even allow sharing between users? I could maybe understand the need for it when there is sharing to prevent content with "naughty" words in the titles being uploaded, but when there is no sharing function at all... then just why?? Though it's just hilarious that a train simulator game censors the word "passenger".
If anything, the profanity filter is going to create more profanities than it prevents, from the mouths of anyone who tries to use any word that it blocks. I swear it’s true.
I think words like asset and passenger are banned for a similar reason to why you can't call a file 'con' in Windows.
That made me laugh out loud, thanks for that. These days "ay-ess-ess" is a pretty tame word, and rather discriminatory against donkeys!
Nobody is gonna be having Ding Dong, Texas; Intercourse, Pennsylvania; or Pee Pee, Ohio in their names any time soon
Virgin Trains won't be available for the WCML. And maybe Broadbottom. If a fantasy railway in south east Kent is ever made, it can't stop at Great Mongeham, East Studdal, Peene, Lyminge, Samphire Hoe or Hougham.
