Is there any way to switch on the alerter in the AC4400CW without connecting a keyboard?

Sadly no there isn’t which is a bummer considering you can spend 2 hours climbing a mountain so having the Alerter on keep you, well alert, I picked up a used $2 keyboard at my local thrift store and it’s made my time with TSW a lot better. It opens up a lot of functions that we don’t have on the controller. If you happen to get one at some point, you just hit SHIFT+Enter.

If you can find a keyboard on the cheap side I would highly recommend it. I use mine to turn off the motion blur on the wheels, I also use it for different camera views. You can turn off the white dot in the middle of the screen. Definitely worth looking at your local goodwill or something!

I just connected my WiFi keyboard that I use on my SteamLink. Is there an overview with all These shortcuts? Most of what you said sounds helpful

A kind member explained to me some of the keyboard shortcuts like a year ago, I’ll try to find them for you!

Ctrl+8, it has a transparent option and Press it again to make it disappear.

Ah, it’s great to be able to do that, right?! Totally glad I could help, I’ve had a lot of fun with my time in TSW and on these forums so I hope you enjoy your time with it as well!

That’s for TS not TSW. Some differences between the games.

The Train Sim World 2020 manual from the DTG website has a full keyboard layout in it (NOT the Train Sim World 2 manual, that’s next to useless).

I ended up picking up a cheap keyboard too and it‘s made my life a whole lot easier.

I did it the other way. I have a Xbox gamepad connect to a USB receiver in my PC. It's great the it works on all DTG train sims.
