To my knowledge, CSX no longer operates any SD50-2's, as some were converted to SD40E3's and SD50-3's, and when the rebuild program went cold, I believe they sold the rest. Only 14 SD50-3's remain on the CSX roster, most in storage. The SD40E3 is also a very rare bird, making it and the SD50-2, SD50-3's a strange choice for inclusion in TSW 2. I would not be surprised if the SD50-3's disappear sooner than later as railroads sell locomotives that only have a handful of units remaining, to save on maintenance costs. However, I would love to see the MP15's more in the game as well as some EMD 6-axle road units.
I would have loved to see the engineers reaction when the front end began to rise as it fell into the turntable pit!
Very good idea. I love that impressive powerful machine. It is a technical witness from the power race between EMD and GE in the 1990's.
