I got you didn't I you thought it was the popular Spongebob Squarepants. The spongebob is the SD-40-3 which is used by CSX It is a converted SD-40-2 & runs on SPG it can be used for freight, banking & switching. You can see by the square hood that it kind of looks like spongebob Here is a picture of one in Cumberland terminal It can maybe substitute some services & add more services to make SPG a bit more busier maybe also add some more autorack services or maybe a mixed manifest freight service. It could also add potential services along with the new DLC for SPG the C40-8w. It can maybe add 3 new good scenario's Edit:I actual hit the post button in the middle of the intro so Im rushing a bit so no one see's the mistake ;-). But If you want source of value go here http://www.wvncrails.org/sd40-3-csx-old-new-locomotive.html (Im a fool) I'll maybe add some cab shots If I can find them A bit of history behind the art of the Spongebob The new cabs can with stand crashes Positive train control New control system They also have a more powerful engine than before in there SD-40-2 formations The train is also nicknamed Spongebob it comes from the square cab hood on the train
Here are some Cab shots & bit of a clear shot of a Spongebob. (The Cab shots were very hard to find :/ )
I must say, I was a little confused. To me, the new SD40/GP40/GP38-3s are one of the best looking "new" EMD products only behind the SD70ACU. I don't like the new SD70ACe-T4.
