[IMG][IMG] Very recognisable and one of the buisiest north-american metro system the Montréal metro Is a vast and complex set of an all underground subway where each station has a unique personality. it was inaugurated in 1966 months before the expo 67 since it has greatly expanded and runs trough a large part of the montreal underground it could bring an intesreting addition to TSW as there are no pneumatic metro systems The best route to add would be the orange line (30 km ) as it is the longest and most frequented one it also marries old and new as the orange line is part of the oldest line in existence of this metro system

Rolling stock the montreal metro use particular rolling stock as they run on pneumatics an interesting addition to TSW as it is very uncommon
MR-63 This is the original units they were ordered in 1963 By the stm They are no longer in service since july 2018

Mr-73 these are the most common rolling stock and are still in service they were ordered in 1973 to replace old 63's and palliate the need for new trains as the metro system expanded they are also the most recongnisable ones as they make the classic dou-dou-dou () as they start

Mpm-10(Azur) These are the new rolling stock since 2010 they are in service since 2011 they are the new generation of trains set to gradually replace the now defunct Mr-63 and the aging Mr-73 they are built by bombardier transportation they alos are recognisable as their door closing sound uses the same 3 tone as the Mr-73's current cutter

    Extra :
The metro has an automatic stopping sytem
and they run on a Dc 750 volt system provided by a third rail

a bit of an old thread but I think since bakerloo came, this would be a nice addition to give our american counterparts a bit of local metro fun too plus it would add a new form of metro the ones who roll on rubber tires
