I have created a mod for PC users of TSW 2 to download. This mod includes brand new, generic announcements for stations along the Bakerloo Line. The voice over is provided by Emma Hignett, who announces for various types of transport systems across London. She is most commonly found on the London Overground network and also onboard the London buses. Download here Simply place the PAK file in your DLC folder, located at ...steamapps\common\Train Sim World 2\WindowsNoEditor\TS2Prototype\Content\DLC
And I assume they're played automatically? Edit: I thought it was announcements for each station stop but it's only station announcements
Very good but a little too loud, not your fault, that's down to DTG because the overall sounds in TSW2 are too low so you have to have the volume higher than normal which makes me having to reach for the volume down button when the announcements are made.
Hello. Yes, this would be down to how the audio mixing has been setup within the game and routes as they seem to vary from route to route. They didn’t seem too loud externally however I shall make note of that for any future announcement mods I may make.
Sorry, newbie here (and I mean to any trains sims).. I have installed the pak file to the correct DLC folder (TWS2). Can't say I notice anything different. And my audio setting are all 100%. I seem to here all the "usual" sounds. I can only assume I don't understand what this actually gives me. Thanks for any advise.
These are generic. When you stand at a station for a while, preferably on foot, you will hear such a nice lady's announcements
Ah, thanks. I "thought" I heard a very quite anouncment on some stations, but I wasn't sure {never getting out of the cab). I get so caught up in trying to keep to the schedule times (which l can never do, it seems impossible) I must just miss them. Yet keeping the to the times on the Eastcoast line seems easy as. A bug? Or am I just not cut out to be a tube driver
Unfortunately you cannot select which stations you want to play certain announcements at. Every announcement plays at every station so I have to choose quite carefully what and what doesn’t play.
The key is to go to the max. Allowed speed as soon as possible and to break really really late. This thing can stop really quick, try to figure out how late you can afford breaking. Normally I start breaking halfway through the station setting 1, setting 2 at the last two or three green markers (if you play with stop markers) and if it is not good enough I set the breaks to the third setting.
I just installed it after I saw londonmidland mention it in another topic last week. It's a really nice pack and I truely recommend it. My only wish is that the game would play them more often, but you can't get everything you want. (+ that's not something we can change anyway) Thanks you very much for creating it, do recommend!
tried this there were a few stations it worked really well it depends on your approach speed i set to 0 on entry then 1 at halfway through then 2 at 2 green markers away if braking to hard i switch back to 1 and 0 if need be if not breaking hard enough i crank it up
[QUOTE="londonmidland, thanks for this sounds really clear, i already have a visitor oyster card though
