They only pull DLC if there is a license issue or something else, and they usually give a warning plus a sale when it happens, such as the Virgin Branded Equipment or the Arrivia Franchise. Only surprise pull in recent times was the Bessemer and Lake Erie route, which was pulled with no announcement due to Canadian National licensing only covering the CN only.
No, the CN license only applies to CN only, but not any of their acquired assets (Such as the Bessemer and Lake Erie or the Illinois Central) Though an old CN dlc that has an ES44 and SD40-2 were pulled years ago. (The SD40-2 was IC branded, so that may be why.)
well i got email back saying You may find that these items are not available for sale outside of the USA, due to strict licensing issues, beyond our control. witch i know they can't control. that way they should pull them off steam. and maybe put them back up at later time with more options. so sound like they won't do that.
So you have the idea that because YOU can not purchase something then nobody else should be able to? The are on Steam because it is a US company with a lot of players in the US & Canada who do buy those products.
well it seem fair in my option and they can put it back up or make new add-on pack that make everyone happy but it doesn't matter anyway cause they can't do it or won't. also i don't think that have base models anymore. and dtg done making new models for this game. oh well it was worth a try. i'll have to move to USA or make my own.
What I'd rather see, is for them to release unbranded versions for countries that can't have the branded version.
ya maybe my option is selfish.... and hey maybe it might get pull down because it not making sales anymore and they release it with new features that suitable for everyone. cause that content is really old. or maybe there another company willing to buy ts2021 off DTG that has no license limitations.... future will tell.
