I keep getting random spads leaving Reading heading East. I have tried verify game with Steam many times and no problems and its not just one stretch of line i.e. Im starting from different platforms and sometimes it triggers and sometimes not. Please help, cheers in advance.
It is not 100% fixed. I know there is an scenario that causes it frequently (like 3 of every 4 times you do it).
Getting more frequent it just happened at Hayles Harlington FROM Paddington. GWE is now unplayable. I have played all of these services but at different times of the day, so its not something permanent causing the bug and its getting more frequent as I am playing. PLEASE HELP
Support for bug fixes for GWE ceased a long time ago. This was obvious even before TSW 2 came onto the scene as GWE never received regular attention during TSW bug updates. The route is broken enough, that it would take a substantial amount of time to fix it, which definitely won’t happen now. We can only hope for an updated GWE, which will be sold as a new DLC in a few years time.
This issue reared its head quite prominently on the forum a few months ago (after an update) with lots of reports of it happening but I thought it had been looked at. Maybe it wasn’t or maybe it was and it’s back again. I can’t remember whether that time it was exclusive to GWE or whether it was happening on other routes too or whether it was just on PC or on consoles as well, but it wasn’t that long ago. I’ve just realised this reply probably isn’t going to be much help as I can’t remember the exact details.
Sorry to dig up an old thread but I was trying to turn on the AWS to see if this was the problem, and as I was looking for the control I had a Spad, but while stationary. What could the cause be?
Some phantom SPADs are AI trains going through red signals, not the player. That would make sense if you were stationary. The game doesn’t care where the SPAD is and the session will end. The AI SPADS could be caused by any number of reasons.
