Disappointed to see the lighting in Rapid Transit is still far too dark at night. All other preserved collection routes have seen a marked improvement, but not here. Also, it almost goes without saying, the sounds are atrocious. Barely audible over the PS4 Pro fan while running the route. I was never a fan of this route, I’m even less of a fan of it now.
I've noticed the same since it's release for TSW2. You can't hear the traction motors from inside the cab anymore, just the A/C fans. It seems to otherwise run quite smoothly with the above as an exception.
I've not been overly happy with the darkness on RT RSN HRR. Way too dark compared to the other routes.
they only added support for electronic destination displays when MSB came out, but they didn't do it for RT
Yes the 1442 cab sound problem is what bugs me. Otherwise I actually found new love for this route, the Leipzig City Tunnel is really cool.
I adore the tunnel section- the stations are some of their best work. Some of the southern stations are particularly nice too- especially those with the glass sides footbridges.
Just another epic fail. I can hear the rain in the underground stations... and yes, sounds in general are terrible. RT is way too dark, even at midday if you select cloudy skies.
Had my first session on RT in TSW2 yesterday, and man, was I ever dissapointed with the sounds. In the Talent 2 the train and tracksounds are so far down in the mix, it's as if they aren't there. I'm driving a train, but I can't hear squat. I totally sucks all feeling of immersion out of the game. TrainSim-Adam has said in a stream that the move to the new UE engine has had a bad impact on the soundmix, and he's not wrong. In all of the previous preserved routes, it's clearly noticable, but it's not so bad that you can't overcome it. With the Talent 2 on RT however... that's just a bridge too far. The lack of sounds here, together with the frequent chrashes means that I will be switching back over to TSW2020 for driving RT untill they fix it in TSW2. I hope it'll be fixed soon, but being realistic I think it'll take months
