I would like to see it with a steam loco, Class 76 and 77.

The class 506 would be nice to see for the Hadfield and Glossop services.

Yes, please. That was one of my favourite routes for years, including the Class 76, 77. And now we already have some diesel classic engines that could be used there as well.

    Cheers

Yes absolutely. I would by far prefer it to be set in the 50's or maybe early 60's with the class 76, 77 and 506, maybe a diesel thrown in for good measure. A steamer would be great too although we know that wouldn't happen for a long time.

It isn't too long a route either, certainly within TSW scope I would say, I would want the spur to Glossop included.

I think TSW could really bring alive the slightly grimy industrial areas of Manchester and Sheffield and the contrasting barren landscape of the Pennines. Could be a really atmospheric route with some interesting freight operations as well as the passenger operation. Would certainly become my favourite.

In the 50s? Without AWS? Driving ancient electric locos and a barren landscape you say? Well sign me up! The class 76,77 looks fun to drive.
